Govt to develop App for availing petrol subsidy

State Chief Minister Hemant Soren on completion of two years of his Government announced to provide Rs 25 per litre subsidy to all ration card holders in the state if they buy the fuel for their two-wheelers. The scheme aims to provide monetary relief to people from BPL families who are burdened due to rising petrol prices and more than 61 lakh ration card holders in the state will be entitled to a subsidy of Rs 25 per liter per litre for their motorcycle and scooty. The beneficiaries will get the subsidy of 10 litre petrol in a month.

The scheme will start from January 26. For availing the benefit of scheme, the beneficiary has to take a slip after getting petrol in the motorcycle or scooty. Subsidy will be transferred in the bank account by uploading this slip on the app being prepared by the government.

Beneficiaries will have to register themselves on the app. Ration card details, Aadhar link bank account and vehicle registration details will have to be uploaded during registration.
