Govt move to improve healthofpoor showssignificant progress

Uttar Pradesh governments efforts to improve the Health of the poor have shown significant progress, according to a review by Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra.

The government has implemented schemes such as Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Antyodaya Anna Yojana, Chief Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan, and Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, which have benefited millions of families in the state.

The government had set a target of covering 1.16 crore families under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in the last five financial years, and so far 68.92 lakh families have benefited from the scheme. Similarly, the government has issued Ayushman cards to about two crore poor people out of a target of 5.83 crore beneficiaries.

Under Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan, the government has connected 3.79 lakh families out of a target of 8.43 lakh families. In Hapur, the government has achieved a hundred per cent target of connecting poor families with the Chief Ministers Jan Arogya Abhiyan. Additionally, 26.83 lakh families out of a target of 36.34 lakh beneficiary families of Antyodaya Anna Yojana have been connected with Ayushman cards.
