Union Minister of State for Education, Skill and Development, Dharmendra Pradhan, announced to make Gorakhpur a ‘Special Education Zone’.
Developed as a knowledge city through three functional and one under-construction universities, Gorakhpur, will be made ‘Special Education Zone’ on the lines of ‘Special Economic Zone’ as per requirement of the new National Education Policy. The idea behind the Special Education Zone is to groom students as global citizens and address problems of the world through academic pursuits and Maharana Pratap Education Council and its students would play an important role in achieving this, the Union minister said while addressing the concluding programme of the 89th Founder’s Week celebrations of Maharana Pratap Education Council as the chief guest.
Pradhan said that the new Education Policy under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been prepared in line with the strategic changes in the global scenario. He said that the new education policy aimed at making India the number one country in the world and the children of India as global citizens.
Describing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as an epitome of successful Leadership, Pradhan said that the former’s leadership never bothered about issues and instead always looked at solutions.
