US-based tech giant Google is all set to open itsglobal fintechoperations centre at theGujaratInternational Finance Tec-City (GIFT) in Gandhinagar.
The announcement came from Google CEO Sundar Pichai following his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the latter’s visit to the US.
The is a big push for GIFT City which houses the country’s first International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), which is being pegged as a global fintech hub.
GIFT City is fast emerging as a global financial hub attracting big players in the fintech sector globally. . It is Home to at least 35 fintech entities, two international Stock Exchanges with Average daily trading volume of $30.6 bn, in addition to the countrys first bullion exchange with 91 qualified jewellers onboarded.
