The aims to hire at least 5,500 apprentices in the year ahead to meetmanpower requirementsin its departments right from the PWD to the general administration department. The apprenticeship will be for a term of one year and experience will be considered when the government conducts a recruitment drive in the future.
The apprentices will work as trainees with the government for one year, and if the government has any recruitment plans in the future, apprenticeship experience will be counted. Also, going forward, prior experience will be mandatory for government jobs.
