Goa government to spend 3cr for travel marts in Portugal, Germany, Spain, UAE in 2023

The tourism department will spend over Rs 3 crore to participate in international travel marts in Madrid, Lisbon, Berlin and Dubai next year.

The target is to attract international tourists to Goa for various segments of tourism, including first itinerary travelers, wellness, MICE, leisure, monsoon, and medical tourism. Accordingly, the agency will have to evolve a strategy to achieve these goals.

Traditionally, most of Goa’s foreign tourists have come from Russia and the UK, and tourism minister Rohan Khaunte recently said that the state now can’t depend on only these two countries.
