The State Government claims to have over 250 active pharma ingredients (APIs) in the state, of which 38 are approved by theWorld Health Organisation(WHO) and 20 by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), besides key pharma clusters such as Jawaharlal Nehru pharma city atParawadain Anakapalle district, and special economic zones (SEZs) in other parts of the state.
