Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s aim to strengthen the system is now getting stronger and its positive results have also started coming out. The proof of this is that the Kapilo Gram Panchayat located in Giridih district of the State received the Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Sustainable Development Award on Monday at New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhavan.
This award has been given to three Gram Panchayats doing excellent work all over India. The award was given to the head of the Panchayat by the Union Panchayat Raj Minister.
Every year by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, Panchayati Raj Institutions are awarded for overall implementation of development plans and performance of Panchayati Raj Institutions in local self-government. Kapilo Gram Panchayat has done excellent work in the category of Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Sustainable Development Award among various award categories.
