Meghalaya State produced the first bamboo-dwelling bat of India with a sticky plate.
The disc-footed bat (Eudiscopus denticulus) was recorded in the Lailad area of Meghalaya near the Negkhyllem Wildlife Sanctuary, about 1,000 kilometres west of the nearest known habitat in Myanmar.
