Following orders of theSupreme Court, the state transport androad safetydepartment has now made it mandatory to have district road safety committees in every district.
These committees will be headed by the district collectors and have Police commissioner, chief medical officer, executive engineer of public works department, programme director fromNHAI, district Education officer (secondary), district transport officer among others.
