Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said the World Environment Day (June 5) inspires to enhance the harmony between humans and nature.
In a message to the people of the state, Baghel said an uncontrolled exploitation of nature was causing a crisis for the environment as well as life.
Now the time has come that in order to save our existence, we should think seriously and work more towards saving the environment. Otherwise it will be difficult for the coming generations to get clean air, an official Communication quoting him as saying.
It is a matter of pride that in the last four-and-a-half years, Chhattisgarh has made itself known as the cleanest state in the country. It is the first state toconstitute Harit Chhattisgarh, he said.
The government has taken several steps to save forests, and farmers are being encouraged to plant trees. Plantation on a large scale has been taken up on the banks of rivers, in forests and Gauthans.
Governor-cum-chancellor of universities Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar called upon the TEACHING to help build the Society.
Inaugurating a seminar on the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 at Raj Bhavan, he said, The country is taking a new turn and we should be in a state of readiness for accepting the challenges in coming days so thatBihardoes not lag behind other states in terms of development.
The governor said teachers are the guides of society and they play a pivotal role in shaping up the future of the new generation. Reminding people that the society too have respect for the teaching fraternity, he called them to take up their job with all sincerity considering it as moral responsibility.
