Eight more Health centres of Chhattisgarh were awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certificate by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday. A Ministry team inspected the hospitals between April and May. Based on the quality of Services available, it approved the Mazagon Sub Health Centre in Bilaspur district, Dulla in Gariaband, Kalcha in Bastar, Peeprol in Balrampur, Pithampur in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, K Shivprasad Nagar of Surguja, Sasha of Balodabazar and Dakai Health and Wellness Centre in Surguja.Each Health and Wellness Centre was graded with Percentage.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo congratulated the staff of all the hospitals, an official Communication said. Baghel expressed confidence that these hospitals will continue to maintain their excellence and serve the patients. It will also set new benchmarks for other hospitals in the state.
Government hospitals located in remote areas getting National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate is an indication that quality health facilities are reaching all areas in the state.
