Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is a commendable initiative.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Nashamukt Chhattisgarh Abhiyan (Drug Free Chhattisgarh Campaign) organized by Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya at Shanti Sarovar in Raipur.
“The campaign is a laudable initiative,” an official communique quoted him as saying.
He said drug addiction usually starts from childhood or youth. First, they start drinking as a hobby, which gradually becomes a habit. Drug addiction is a big social evil which is harmful for all, physically and mentally, the Chief Minister said.
It affects the person, the family and the Society, he added.
Along with the Chief Minister, all dignitaries present took a pledge to make Chhattisgarh drug free. Baghel assured all cooperation from the government for a drug-free India.
