The contribution of Deendayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY) is very important in moving Pakur district towards self-EMPLOYMENT, said Rural Development Minister, Alamgir Alam while inaugurating Rising Pakur programme on Tuesday in Pakur.
Under the DDUGKY, run by the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), a workshop was organized on Tuesday in the presence of Alam in Pakur Deputy Commissioner (DC), Varun Ranjan. During this, Alam and Ranjan formally inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Assets were distributed at the end of the program, under which movement letters were given to five participants of DDUGKY kits to Job Resource Person, citation to JRP and BPM for doing better work in the last financial year, Birsa Irrigation Well Scheme and Distribution of acceptance letters to the beneficiaries of Birsa Harit Gram Yojana and selection letters to Anganwadi workers and Sahiyas. Simultaneously, 33 unemployed youths and Women were sent to Ranchi and Hazaribagh for training.
