The Delhi has requested the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) to reflect on consideration as illustration a petition to end the alleged illegal construction of bridges and partitions inside tiger breeding habitat of the Corbett Tiger Reserve.

It was installed in 2005 following the hints of the Tiger Task Force.
It was once constituted beneath enabling provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, as amended in 2006, for strengthening tiger conservation, as per powers and features assigned to it.
