Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that we have performed a miracle of depositing Rs one lakh 76 thousand crore in the accounts of farmers in 22 months. This is a government of the farmers, no stone will be left unturned in the welfare of farmers. By laying a Network of Irrigation schemes in the state, the is working incessantly to make crops flourish in every dry field of the state. Chouhan was addressing the state level crop damage claim distribution programme held at Betul. He transferred an amount of Rs 7618 crore in 49 lakh claims of Kharif 2020 and Rabi 2020-21 to the account of farmers with a single click.
Chouhan inaugurated the programme by performing kanya pujan and lighting a lamp. Union Minister for Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar took part virtually from New Delhi. State’s Farmers’ Welfare and AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT Minister Kamal Patel, MP Durgadas Uike and other public representatives were present in the programme.
The Chief Minister also visited the exhibition of Agriculture, Horticulture, Public Health Engineering, Energy, AYUSH, Women and Child Development and Self Help Groups. The Chief Minister inaugurated the development works worth Rs 381 crore of Betul and also performed bhoomi-pujan. All the districts of the state participated virtually in the programme.
