Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on April 20 will virtually launch the Mukhyamantri Chhattisgarhi Parv Samman Nidhi Yojana across the state for non-scheduled areas.
The scheme aims to protect festivals, traditions and culture of village areas in community development blocks.
He had earlier launched the Mukhyamantri Adivasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana on April 13 at the Bharosa Sammelan in Jagdalpur in the presence of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, an official Communication said.
That was exclusively for the Scheduled areas.
Under the scheme, each village Panchayat will get Rs 10,000 in two installments with a view to preserve all the local festivals and cultural traditions. The unit of the scheme will be the Panchayat.
Under non-scheduled areas, 61 development blocks exist which and cover 6,111 Panchayats.
