Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will launch a Shree Dhanwantri Medicine Scheme on October 20 to provide 50 percent or more rebate on the maximum retail price of medicines.
There will be a total of 188 medical stores in 169 cities and towns across the state. On the inauguration day, 85 shops will open. The rest will be operational by the end of October.
In the next phase of the scheme, Home delivery of medicines will commence, an official Communication said on Thursday.
These shops have been allocated by civic bodies on rent at Rs 2 per square feet based on the decision of the .
There will be 251 kinds of medicines, 27 surgical items and quality herbal products manufactured by the Minor Forest Produce Association available in the shops.
Apart from it, generic medicines of reputed companies of the country will be sold.
Already in urban area, the Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme, City Diagnostic Centre, Dai Didi Clinic and other health schemes are operational.
