Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday flagged off the states first mobile millet caf, Millet on Wheels, at Kharsia in Raigarh district.
He cut a cake made of ragi to formally open the caf.
Appreciating the initiative, he said it would help to increase awareness on the need to consume , an official Communication said.
The Raigarh District Administration has started the Millet on Wheels. It will be run by the Anubhav womens group.
The outlet will serve dishes made of ragi, kodo and kutki. The cuisines are ragi cheela, dosa, millets paratha, idli, millets manchurian, pizza, kodo ki biryani and cookies.
Chhattisgarh is promoting the production and consumption of millets. The government also procures kodo, kutki and ragi at support price.
