CRS scientists have created an atlas of Climate hazards and vulnerability in India.
Highlights:
The map was created by scientists based on 14 extreme weather events.
They also took into account the risks and threats posed by these 14 weather events to the local Population and economy.
The term ‘local’ refers to a district rather than a state or village. The map was unveiled as part of the IMD Foundation Day celebrations this year.
It includes information on heat waves, cold waves, extreme rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and snowfall, as well as , winds, fog, and hail storms. RS
