Chouhan said that under the programme Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain, the rainwater harvesting campaign will be conducted in rural and urban areas across the country and its slogan will be collect rainwater wherever it falls, whenever it falls.
The Chief Minister said that encroachments on and around water structures should be removed and after that the work of repairing and renovating them should be undertaken. Small rivers and water sources should be revived with the participation of the community.
Chouhan said that an action plan for water conservation should be implemented on the basis of the nature of water sources and land available in the district. G.I.S. mapping of all water structures of the state should be done and their lists should be prepared district-wise.
