Chhattisgarh government will depute a team to visit Nadu,Karnatakaand Maharashtra to study the reservation pattern in these states in an apparent bid to find a solution to the impasse after the state High Court struck down 58% reservation holding that any reservation beyond 50% is unconstitutional.
At a high-level meeting held at his residence, chief ministerBhupesh Bagheldirected officials to form a team to study the reservation pattern in these states where more than 50% reservation is prevailing.
Earlier, a faction of Sarva Adivasi Samaj had also decided to form core committees to study the legal, political and social situations arising out of the high court decision due to which reservation of scheduled tribes went down from 32% to 20%.
