Chhattisgarh was ranked in the second position in the country on implementation of the Extended Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (ePMSMA).
Union Minister of State for Health Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar honoured the state for the achievement at the National Maternal Health Workshop in New Delhi on Wednesday.
In the current fiscal from April to November, the state has conducted 1,48,851 antenatal care (ANC) tests on pregnant Women, an official Communication said.
Under the Prime Minister’s Safe Motherhood Campaign, the ANC test of pregnant women is done on the 9th of every month. Now, it is also conducted on the 24th of every month.
