Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday gave directions to the Agriculture Minister and officials to ensure continuous supply of fertilizers to farmers, especially urea and Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP).

He told Minister Ravindra Choubey, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain and Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Commissioner Dr M Geetha to parley with representatives of fertilizer supplier companies to ensure supply based on allocation of states, an official statement stated.

The Chief Minister also called forr regular inspection of wholesalers and retailers for Fertilizers to detect hoarding.

Chhattisgarh has been allocated 565,595 tonnes of chemical fertilizers from April to June. Against this, 362,966 tonnes have been received. Due to the early sowing season, the demand for fertilizers has risen in the state.
