Along the lines of Sevagram village model developed in Maharashtra’s Wardha,Chhattisgarhgovernment will develop a ‘Sevagram village’ inNaya Raipur. For this, 76.5 acres of land has been earmarked.
The project will seek to work as the vision ofMahatma Gandhi’s Gram Swaraj. A ‘second Home‘ for the elderly and a school for the underprivileged will also be set up in Sevagram, said Baghel.
The site also has two canals in an area of about five acres. Sevagram will be set up in the remaining 75 acres of land. Sewagram will be developed in such a way that there is a glimpse of the traditional rural building style of Chhattisgarh. Locally available construction materials will be used. The roads inside the ashram will also be in harmony with the rural Environment. The entire area will be full of greenery till the service village.
