Chhattisgarh on Friday bagged a national award for excellent implementation of the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme.
Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Secretary Manoj Ahuja handed over the award to the states Agriculture Production Commissioner Kamalpreet Singh at a function here, an official statement said.
The award has been given to Chhattisgarh for providing benefits to 6.77 lakh farmers and giving an amount of Rs 192.41 crores to them under the scheme.
