Chennai to host Asian Hockey Cship in August: Udayanidhi

International hockey will return to the city after a gap of 16 years with the mens Asian Championship, to be held here at the SDAT-Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in the last week of August this year. The mens Asia Cup hockey championship in 2007 was the last international hockey event that happened in Chennai.

The dates for the event have not been finalised yet but itll tentatively be held in the last week of August. Representatives from Hockey India have inspected the SDAT-Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium and suggested a few things to change.
