In a first of its kind initiative,ChhattisgarhState Legal Services Authority (CGSLSA) has come up with yet another new campaign ‘Karuna’ which aims to provide assistance toold parentswhose children are reluctant either in maintaining them or in taking necessary care of them.
The initiative has been started under the guidance of CGSLSA patron-in-chief and Chhattisgarh chief Justice PR Ramachandra Menon and under the instruction of CGSLSA executive chairman and Chhattisgarh high court judge Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra.
under this campaign, all District Legal Services Authority (DLSA)secretariesor in charge secretary have been directed to visit old aged homes falling under their jurisdiction and identify these kind of old aged people in need. Once such people have been identified then counseling of their children will be carried out with the assistance of panel lawyers to make their children realize about their pious duty towards their parents.
