Chhattisgarh has predicted more in the current season, with the sowing rate 5.77 percent more compared to the previous season.
The Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Department said rabi crops have been sown in 19.36 lakh hectares, which is 101 percent against a target of 19.25 lakh hectares.
In the previous year, the cultivation was in 18.30 lakh hectares. This year it is 5.77 percent more than last year, an official Communication said.
Pulses have been sown in 8.65 lakh hectares, accounting for 45 percent of the area proposed rabi crop cultivation.
The sowing has been done in pulses, oilseeds, sugarcane, vegetables and other crops. It includes wheat, maize, ragi and other coarse grains.
