The Chhattisgarh government has launched a ‘Sughhar Padhvaiya’ programme to improve the skills of teachers in all government primary and middle schools.
A state-level webinar was organized on Thursday to give information about this programme to identified 400 teachers.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had announced this on Children’s Day. The objective of the scheme is to develop excellent academic skills in children by encouraging self-motivated and better performing teachers.
Ensuring its quick implementation, the School Education Department has designed the entire programme for training the teachers.
The task of developing tools for identification and inspection of competency for teachers of Classes I to VIII has been started under the direction of the State Educational Research and Training Council.
