Centre approves Rs 193 crore for six rail overbridges in Uttarakhand

In a major development for Uttarakhand, the Union Government has approved Rs 193 crore for six rail overbridges in the state.

Recently, the Centre had given in-principle approval for the shifting of the Uttarakhand (HC) from Nainital to Haldwani. Within a span of a few days, the second major announcement has been made by the Union government for Uttarakhand.

Chief minister (CM) Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “This is the power of the double engine. The Union government has always thought about the people of Uttarakhand and their welfare. This is another such project which reflects the approach of the Centre towards this state. While the works on projects like Delhi-Dehradun highway, Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line and All Weather Road for Char Dham are going on at a quick pace, the six new rail overbridge would solve the traffic-related issues of our state.”
