The film policy of Uttar Pradesh is getting a lot of appreciation at the International Film Festival of India-2021 being held in Goa. A stall of UP’s Film Bandhu has also been set up there and it was inaugurated by Randhir Kapoor and Rahul Rawail.

At the same time, a delegation under the guidance of Film Bandhu Chairman Navneet Sehgal and Secretary Shishir reached Goa to participate in the prestigious film festival.

Uttar Pradesh launches new industrial policy to achieve 1 trillion-dollar economy

The much-awaited new industrial development and EMPLOYMENT generation policy ofUttar Pradeshwas cleared by the state cabinet.

Assuring that the new policy would ensure the continuity of success scripted during the previous policy term, Nandi claimed that learnings from the past, feedback from the and opinion of experts has been integrated well to come up with a comprehensive document. Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner, Arvind Kumar said, “The new framework aims to make Investment in UP easier and mutually beneficial to investors from any part of India and the world.”

Citing some salient features, they pointed out that the new policy offers investment in four categories namely – large (Rs 50-200 crore),Mega(Rs 200 – 500 crore),Super Mega(Rs 500 – 3,000 crore) andUltra Mega(Rs 3,000 crore or more).

As many as 6,000 children have benefited from the Bal Sewa Yojana (child service scheme) launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for children who lost either of their parents or both during the COVID-19 period (from March 2020).

Besides, 2,000 other new children have also been selected by the Women and Child Development department, and they will be given the benefits of Bal Sewa Yojana soon.

The fresh applications have started coming in the department for the child service scheme.

Prior to this scheme, hundreds of children of UP were getting direct benefit from the sponsorship scheme aimed to give dignity, self-reliance and security to the children of people living below https://exam.pscnotes.com/POVERTY-line”>Poverty Line in UP. Under this scheme, there is a provision of giving Rs 2,000 per month to single, disabled parents and orphan, destitute children of poor sections.

At the district level, the district probation officer, DPO, DCPU and Bal Kalyan Samiti are accepting the applications coming from gram panchayat, block levels and distributing the amount to the children within six months. Under this scheme, 1,026 children have been benefited in different districts of the state.

To connect the children of the needy families of the state with the mainstream of Education, the State Government had also launched Bal Shramik Vidya Yojana. Through this scheme, on the one hand, the parents are being counseled to encourage their children in the field of education, while on the other, by getting all these children enrolled in primary schools, the children of underprivileged class are getting educated.

Varanasi: First Cultural and Tourism capital of SCO

Varanasi City is all set to be declared as the first Cultural and Tourism Capital of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

Varanasi has been showcasing the culture and tradition of India for ages.

It will become the cultural and tourism capital of the SCO for year 2022-23, as a part of SCOs new rotating initiative that seeks to promote people-to-people ties and tourism among member countries.

Under the initiative, a city of cultural heritage from member states will be designated as cultural and tourism capital of SCO each year. Varanasi has become the first city to get the title.

City will be selected from member country, which will take over the Presidency of SCO on rotational basis.

Title will be given to cities in a bid to highlight its prominence.

The new initiative of the organisation will be implemented after the Samarkand Summit 2022. The Samarkand Summit of SCO is scheduled to be held at Samarkand, Uzbekistan from September 15-16 2022. After this initiative, India is set to take over SCOs Presidency and will host next Heads of the State summit. This is why, Varanasi has won the title of first Cultural and Tourism Capital of the SCO.

In its ongoing mission to empower the farmers of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Self-Reliant Farmer Integrated Development Scheme.

The Rs 722.85-crore scheme will benefit more than 27 lakh farmers associated with Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) by increasing their income substantially in the next five years.

Also the government will spend the amount to provide facilities and Resources to farmers at every level, from farm to market.

In the current financial year, the has earmarked Rs 100 crore for this scheme. Under this scheme, 2,725 FPOs will be formed benefiting 27.25 lakh shareholder farmers directly.

At present, a total of 693 FPOs have been formed in 408 blocks of the total 824 blocks of the state. About 500 to 1,000 farmers are associated with an FPO on an Average. FPOs provide bargaining power to small and marginal farmers for selling their crops. Therefore, the Yogi government has decided to form 2,725 FPOs in the next five years under the Self-Reliant Farmers Integrated Development Scheme.

In order to improve the quality of technical education, the Uttar Pradesh government is planning to implement a state-level ranking system — State Institutional Ranking Framework — on the lines of NIRF (National Institute Ranking Framework). It will be a data driven approach to analyse the performance of public and private technical universities.

The UPSIRF will be a pioneering attempt towards creating world class institutions in the state, using a highly credible and transparent framework wholly based on objective data. The clear focus will be on helping the institutes identify areas of improvements, bridge the gaps and achieve excellence regionally, nationally and globally.

The institutions will be rated on the basis of their performance and this will also provide a measure to the government to give grants accordingly. The SIRF will compel the institutes to strive hard in achieving a good rank and will create a healthy competition among the institutions.

Uttar Pradesh has three technical universities Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur and Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology in Gorakhpur.

UP district tops e-registration of consumer complaints

The district consumer commission of Mainpuri inUttar Pradeshhas registered the maximum number of consumer complaints under e-Daakhil since the scheme to launch grievenaces was launched at the national level. The district commission also has the lowest rate of rejection of cases filed online.

According to data, Mainpuri has accepted 227 complaints through e-Daakhil, which is the highest in the country. The South West Delhi District Commission has the second highest number of accepted cases (183), followed by Sangli (161 cases) inMaharashtra. This also shows that while 18,320 complaints have been filed online by the consumers so far in district, state and national consumer commissions, only 6,815 (37%) have been accepted so far.

So far 31 states and UTs have launched the e-Daakhil.

The Uttar Pradesh government has made a commitment to usher in a new Blue Revolution by strengthening fish production as it is creating employment opportunities thereby increasing the rural economy.

The fish farming business, which was considered a loss deal in the previous governments, has given EMPLOYMENT opportunities to thousands of youth in their villages. In the last four years, a total of 7.46 lakh metric tons of fish was produced in the state, which is 1.28 lakh metric tons more than during the five-year regime of the Samajwadi Party government, government spokesman Sidharth Nath Singh said.

He said due to the effective schemes of the Yogi government, fish production had started spreading rapidly in UP.

Youth are more inclined to adopt new technologies and techniques and are joining this business. The record production of 7.46 lakh metric tons of fish in UP is proof of this. During the five-year tenure of the SP government, a total of 6.18 lakh metric tons of fish was produced, he said.

The present government provided loans amounting to nearly Rs 6,972.08 lakh to 7,883 fish farmers through Kisan Credit Card whereas in the previous government not even a single fish farmer was given the benefit of the credit card scheme. The Yogi-led UP government has allotted 2,821 houses to fishermen in the state in the last four years, whereas during the SP regime only 2,383 fishermen were given houses.

Besides, in the last four years, 3,392.74 lakh metric tons of fish seed was produced in the state, whereas in the five-year rule of the Akhilesh Yadav government, a total of 2,703.56 lakh metric tons of fish seed was produced. The government has made a provision of Rs 243 crore in the budget for the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana started by the Central government. In order to provide financial security to the fishing community, two lakh fishermen will be covered with free Insurance in the financial year 2021-2022.

Jal Gyan Yatra to showcase UPs transformation to kids

Children of schools of Uttar Pradesh will now go from village to village to witness the development works of Jal Jeevan Mission. The Yogi Adityanath government will conduct exposure visits for students studying in council schools through the Jal Gyan Yatra programme.

For this, the Basic Education department has sent a letter to the basic education officers of all districts, instructing them to provide the authorised list of schools and children to the State Water and Sanitation Mission office on priority basis. The Jal Gyan Yatra will be organised by Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply department and Basic Education department.

The Jal Gyan Yatra programme will commence this month. Groups of students will be shown sewage treatment plant (STP) and water treatment plant during Jal Gyan Yatra. In the first phase of this free Jal Gyan Yatra, a trip to Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Mahoba and Jhansi will be made.During this visit, quiz competitions will also be organised in Sports and games.The students of the state will get information about the development works under the Jal Jeevan Mission’s Har Ghar Jal Yojana through Jal Gyan Yatra.
