UP to have driver training centres across state: Govt

The Yogi Adityanath government is not only making arrangements for a comfortable journey for the passengers traveling by UP State Road Transport Corporation buses, but is also taking several measures for the safety of passengers.

In this regard, the government has decided to start driver training and counseling centres in all areas of the state. Under this, the first centre has already commenced in Gorakhpur and soon there is a plan to operate such centres in the entire state.

The objective of opening these centres is not only to motivate and train the drivers for safe driving but also to prepare them to face various challenges through counseling by assessing their mental state.

‘All parts of UP drawing investments uniformly’

PWD ministerJitin Prasada said that under Chief MinisterYogi Adityanath’s guidance, all parts of the state, and not just Lucknow and Noida, are attracting investments.

He also suggested that everyone should support local artisans at the state and national levels which would eventually help them save the transportation cost. “Our aim aim is to seeUttar Pradeshas one of the most developed states in the next five years,” he said.
The day started with a panel discussion on “emerging trends in design practices” where some of the eminent architects indulged themselves in an interesting discussion and kept the audience hooked.

Bareilly division tops state in implementation of schemes

TheBareillydivision has topped the state in implementation of government schemes.

In the latest rankings released by the programme implementation department ofUttar Pradeshfor assessing development in divisions and districts, Bareilly division is followed by Varanasi, Lucknow, Meerut and Saharanpur.

The department has also ranked the districts of Bareilly, Badaun, Shahjahanpur and Pilibhit of Bareilly division as the best performers among districts. Bareilly CommissionerSanyukta Samaddarsaid that in line with the governments directions, public welfare schemes and projects have been implemented uniformly in all the districts of Bareilly division.

Under Pradhan Mantri JanArogya Yojana, about 18,34,436 golden cards have been made in Bareilly division.

Noida reports ‘poor’ AQI, Ghaziabad air among the country’s worst

The air quality of Ghaziabad and Meerut on Saturday was the third worst in the country, recording an AQI of 312. So far in October, this is the first time that Ghaziabad’s AQI has breached the 300-mark.

Ghaziabad’s air quality index, however, was based on the reading of only two pollution monitoring stations out of four. The readings for Indirapuram and Vasundhara were not available. Loni station at 7.10pm recorded an AQI of 355 which comes under the ‘very poor’ category while Sanjay Nagar recorded an AQI of 260.

Amit Shah likely to lay foundation stone of Vindhya Corridor in Mirzapur

Ahead of the assembly in Uttar Pradesh, Union Home minister Amit Shah is likely to lay the foundation of a development project in Mirzapur on August 1.

The Vindhya Corridor, a dream project of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, includes projects worth over Rs 300 crore. Besides giving a grand look to the temple, the project includes widening of roads to 50 feet around the temple to facilitate ‘darshan’ for the devotees.

After the construction of the corridor, the Ganga river flowing in the northern direction of the temple will be clearly seen along with the ‘darshan’ of Ma Vindhvasini Devi.

Govt to give grant for purchase of indigenous cows from other states

In an effort to promote breeding of indigenous cows and raising the income of cow herders, the Yogi Adityanath government has decided to offer a grant of Rs 40,000 for the purchase of indigenous cows from other states under the Nand Baba Milk Mission covered under Mukhyamantri Pragatisheel Pashupalak Protsahan Yojana.

According to the governments scheme, cow herders who purchase Sahiwal, Tharparkar and Gir cows from other states will receive a subsidy on the amount spent on other items such as transportation, transit Insurance and animal insurance.

This subsidy will be given to cow herders on the purchase of a maximum of two indigenous breeds of cows.

Milk Commissioner and Mission Director Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil said that under the Nand Baba Milk Mission, various issues related to transportation have been cleared for purchasing cows of indigenous breeds like Sahiwal from Punjab, Tharparkar from Rajasthan and Gir from Gujarat.

According to this, Sahiwal, Gir and Tharparkar cows will get Rs 10,000 for producing 8-12 kg of milk per day and Rs 15,000 for producing more than 12 kg. On the other hand, Rs 10,000 will be given to a Haryana cow for giving 6-10 kg of milk per day and Rs 15,000 for giving more than 10 kg of milk. Apart from this, Rs 10,000 will be given for producing 6-8 kg of milk per day for Gangatiri cows and Rs 15,000 for producing more than eight kg of milk.

UP emerges as new investment hub

Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the new hub in India with some of the biggest businessmen, industrialists and entrepreneurs showing their interest in investing in the state.

In pursuit of creating an investor-friendly Environment, Uttar Pradesh has climbed up to the second rank in Ease of Doing Business (EODB) index. The State Government has also launched a single-window system named Nivesh Mitra Portal where there are over 70 Services of about 20 departments. Moreover, the state does not have any dearth of Resources or labour. With the kind of Population Uttar Pradesh has, the investors already have a gigantic consumer base to target.

The state government has been successful in facilitating investment in DEFENCE, Health, MSME, Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture, handloom, power and other sectors. Besides, the policy of the government has been to pursue eco-friendly solar power. Also, Uttar Pradesh has been successful in implementing 186 out of 187 reforms suggested under BRAP 19 (Business Reform Action Plan) by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Central government.

Many major investment plans have also come to the state government for the next few years. The defence manufacturing corridor has an investment potential of Rs 50,000 crore. New and improved MSME policies are promoting industrial development at all levels across UP.

Defence, aerospace, Warehousing, data centre, electric vehicles and pharma are fast emerging as new investment sectors in Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, traditional sectors like electronics, information technology (IT), Food Processing, Dairy, textiles, tourism and film are also attracting investment. There is also investment potential in Solar Energy, bio-fuels and civil aviation. Most economists believe that the way to make India a five trillion dollar economy passes through Uttar Pradesh.

UP govt plans to verify funding sources of unaided madrasas

The Uttar Pradesh government plans to verify the funding sources of over 1,500 unaided madrasas that have declared their sole source of earning as zakat, donations which Muslims make for charitable causes as a religious obligation.

The decision follows a survey of the states 2,000 aided and 15,000 unaided madrasas between August and October . The objective is to verify their land records, sources of earning, classroom and teachers salaries among other expenses.

Minister of State for Minority Welfare Danish Azad Ansari said some madrasas in UP were unregistered and unaffiliated to any recognised school Education board or university.

Uttar Pradesh crosses 15 crore vaccination mark in a new milestone

Uttar Pradeshreached a new milestone in the Covid battle on Monday as the number of administered vaccine doses crossed the 15-crore mark in the state. This figure is over 33% more than the total number of doses administered in Maharashtra, the next contender state.

In terms of people, 10.62 crore individuals are partially vaccinated in the state, while 4.37 crore have taken both the doses. Considering that the total number of eligible persons in UP is 15.04 crore, this translates to over 29% of the Population being fully vaccinated and 71% just taking one vaccine dose. Lauding the achievement, senior Health officials directed the staff to sustain the pace till all eligible persons are vaccinated and appealed to people to come and take their due vaccine in individual and social interest.

Set up cyber police station in each district of UP, says CM Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that every district in the state will set up acyber Police stationand directed the officials concerned to submit a detailed action plan at the earliest.

Conducting a review of the Home department, the CM also assessed the efforts being made to improve policing, Women safety and Services of the fire department.
