Technology solutions provider Cyient said it has opened a joint centre of excellence (CoE) with Software solutions provideriBASEtto drive digital innovation in the aerospace and heavy equipment industries. Cyient entered into a strategic collaboration with iBASEt in 2022.

T, NSE ink MoU to help MSMEs raise funds on Emerge exchange

Thegovernment has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE) to propel the Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the state to the next level of Growth by helping them raise funds on NSE Emerge SME exchange.

As part of the MoU, NSE will conduct an awareness drive through seminars, MSME camps, knowledge sessions, road shows and workshops to guide Telangana companies raise capital and handhold them during the listing process.

The State Government, on its part, will facilitate MSMEs to get listed on NSE Emerge by looking at ways to reimburse a Percentage of the expenses incurred on raising funds, subject to a pre-defined upper limit, to encourage them to raise capital through SME exchanges.
The state government will also be looking at setting up a government sponsored Equity participation fund on the exchange platform to invest in the fast-growing SMEs in the state.

Telangana govt announces Rs 1,540 crore bonanza for Nalgonda

Fulfilling its promises made to Munugode assembly constituency voters during by-poll held last month, the government on Thursday announced Rs 1,540 crore bonanza for the Nalgonda district.

Around Rs 400 crore worth of works would be taken up in the Munugode assembly constituency from the sanctioned amount. The rest of the amount would be spent on roads, Infrastructure improvement, civic works, construction of a hospital and other works.

The government also announced to set up a toy park in Dandumalkapur industrial park which would provide EMPLOYMENT to about 10,000 youths.

IT exports from Telangana STPI units grew 13% in H1

Beating the pandemic blues and indicating a robustgrowthin the Software exports, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) units inTelanganahave exported IT Services worth Rs 45,000 crore in the first half of the current financial year clocking a Growth of 13% as against the year ago period,STPI(Hyderabad) director CVD Ramprasad said.

Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) president Bharani Kumar Aroll pointed out that if the exports of non-STPI units are taken into account, the overall exports growth would be much higher in the period under review. Telangana: Singur project generates highest power in 23 years

With the continuous inflows from upstream toSingur Project, the Hydroelectric project at Singur has shattered all the previous records this year. The project had generated the highest power ever in 2022-23 since it was commissioned 23 years ago in 1998-99.

During the current rainy season, power was generated for a record 86 days at the project. During the year 2010-11, the Hydroelectric project had 25.68 million units, which is the highest ever until Sunday. Since the project was receiving over 2,500 cusecs of water from upstream on Monday evening, TS Genco was operating both units of the Hydroelectric project.

After the completion of the Irrigation project in 1998,TS Gencoinstalled two 7.5 MW hydroelectric power generating units. During the past 23 years, the project had generated more than 20 million units of power only three times. The Singur Hydropower project was connected to feeders at 132KV Substations located at Jogipet and Sadasivapet town.

Telangana: Forestry varsity to function from 2023

As the plans to scale up the existingForest College and Research Institute(FCRI) into India’s firstUniversity of Forestry(UoF), plans are afoot to start affiliated colleges across the state. Officials

According to officials, once the University of ForestryTelanganaBill, 2022, is ratified, they would be offering 18 more courses, including diploma and technical certificate courses for students.

TelanganaCongress former president and Nalgonda MP NUttam Kumar Reddy said the state government owes over Rs 4,200 crore to the women Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the state and demanded that the government immediately release the amount.

The TRS government had last released Rs 1,200 crore towards payment of interest on loans obtained by SHGs before the assembly polls in 2018. Now, with an eye on the vote bank of Women, the government announced release of Rs 54 crore to SHGs in Huzurabad Assembly constituency, he said.

Aurigene Pharma to invest Rs 330 crore in Hyderabads Genome Valley

Dr Reddys Laboratories arm Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services Ltd (APSL) plans to invest $40 million (330 crore approx.) in setting up a development and manufacturing facility in Hyderabads Genome Valley.
The contract research, development and manufacturing services organisation (CDMO) is a step-down subsidiary of Dr Reddys Labs.

The proposed facility will focus on Niche areas such as therapeutic proteins, antibodies, and viral vectors, a communique put out byTelanganaindustries minister KT Rama Raos office said after Dr Reddys Labs chairman Satish Reddy and APSL CEO AkhilRavimet him and briefed him about the upcoming project.

The Dr Reddys top brass informed KTR that Aurigene would be collaborating with global biotech innovators to facilitate the development and introduction of innovative medicines into the market and the facility would generate about 200 direct jobs and another 60-70 indirect jobs within three years of the .
