Rajasthan: Private hospitals & labs get nod to conduct rapid antigen tests

The Health department has allowed private hospitals and labs to conduct Covid test byRapid Antigen Test. An order was issued by secretary health stating that private hospitals will not charge more than Rs 200 for the tests from patients.

Hospitals will be able to conduct the rapid antigen tests on patients coming there with symptoms of cough, cold, fever and other influenza like illness.
The antigen test gives results within a few minutes and this will help doctors in private hospitals in providing treatment to patients without delay.

Rajasthan: Chiranjeevi scheme greatest draw with 6.3 lakh registrations

Over 6.3 lakh registrations have been made forChiranjeevi Health Insurance schemeat relief camps across the state in two days.
TheChiranjeeviSwasthya Bima Yojana has become popular among people after its coverage was increased to Rs 25 lakh annually this year. At these camps, people are coming in large numbers to register themselves under the scheme.

Private hospitals too are showing interest in the scheme and hospitals that had signed for de-empanelment as a mark of protest with regard to Right to Health Bill are also providing treatment under the scheme.

About 980 private hospitals have been empanelled under the scheme in state.

Earlier, the State Government had given coverage of Rs 10 lakh per family annually under the scheme, but in the budget announcement 2023-24, the coverage was increased.

Rajasthan: Now, focus shifts to villages as corona infection holds rural areas in its grip

The pandemic is now taking rural areas in its grip. Patients from villages are reaching Covid hospitals in cities when their condition deteriorates causing fatalities.

Now, the has chalked out a strategy to strengthen healthcare facilities and early transportation of serious patients from rural areas to hospitals at district and division level.

The pan is to identify Covid cases at an early stage. In a door-to-door survey, the government identified 7 lakh influenza-like illness cases in the state. The auxiliary nurse midwives (ANMs) of the areas will distribute medicines and encourage patients with ILI symptoms to get treatment from Covid consultation/care centres.

The first round of door-to-door survey has been completed and now the Health department and Panchayati Raj department is planning for second round of survey.

34% drop in job seekers on NCS portal in state in a year

There has been a 33.6% drop in the number of job seekers inRajasthanregistering themselves on government of India’s National Career Service (NCS) portal.

In 2022-23, over 1.82 lakh people in the state registered on the NCS portal compared to 2.75 lakh in 2021-22, according to the ministry of labour and EMPLOYMENT data.

It is believed that many who lost their jobs during Covid pandemic had registered themselves on the portal in 2021-22.

In 2018-19, 1.97 lakh job seekers had registered themselves on the NCS portal, 73,408 in 2019-20 and 2.01 lakh in 2020-21, informed minister of state for labour and employment Rameswar Teli while replying to an unstarred question on April 3.

Behavioural lab to be set up in Jaipur

The announced to development behavioural lab at Harishchandra MathurRajasthanState Institute of Public Administration, Jaipur. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in a meeting has approved a financial proposal of Rs 1.22 crore for the lab to be set up at Patel Bhawan at RIPA.

This will be the first behavioural lab in the country to be built with state-of-the-art technology. The lab to be set up in about 2665.04 square feet area will be managed and operated by IIM Udaipur.

Industry needs stable policies for future needs

Industries ministerShakuntala Rawatsaid the state had created a one-stop-shop where approvals and clearance from 14 departments were provided. In order to maintain the Growth momentum, RIICO has been developing new industrial areas. RIICO MD Archana Singh said they have recently announced 68 industrial areas.

For new industrial areas, the government announced development of MSE industrial area in every sub-division of the state, she said at CII-Rajasthan summit on Invest Rajasthan: Building Future Ready Business Environment.

Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project

The Rajasthan allocated Rs 13,000 crores to the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project. The budget was presented by the CM of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot. He also holds the finance portfolio of the state. Gehlot Government wants the centre to share the cost of the canal. The canal is to run through 13 districts of the state.

The canal will bring water to the water-scarce south-eastern districts of Rajasthan. It will fulfil the drinking and Irrigation needs of the people here. It is expected that the canal will fulfil the water demands of the region by 2051. The canal will bring water from rivers in the southern part of Rajasthan. This includes Chambal, Parvati, Kunnu, Kalisindh, etc.

Rajasthan holds 10.4% of the total land area of India. However, it has only 1.16% of surface water and 1.72% of groundwater in the country. Therefore, it is essential that the central government provide aid to construct the canal.

Rajasthan: Child panel to hold awareness meets on crimes against kids

TheRajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights(RSCPCR) will organise public awareness workshops at the district level in the state to create awareness among children and their parents about child crimes and allow them to express their views.

People will be taught how to register their complaints when such incidents occur. Also with the board examinations round the corner, the commission will also organise examination festival during which children will be able to talk to the experts about their issues.

The commission in collaboration with NGOs includingSave The Childrenand two others had launchedUmeedhelpline in January last year for children to deal with mental Health issues following which in a matter of one year, they received approximately 4,000 calls from parents as well as children seeking help for problems like Stress, anxiety, addiction to mobile phone, etc.

Sirohi secures first position in health services in Nov

In the monthly state ranking of Health Services, Sirohi ranked first in achieving the targets in immunisation, maternal health services, antenatal check-up, institutional delivery, family planning related services. Hanumangarh andSriganganagarwere at the second and third spot.

Health department released the ranking for November, 2022. Chief medical health officer (Sirohi) said the district reproductive and child health officer got the first position in vaccination and health facilities for pregnant Women and children across the state.
