Laadli Bahna Yojana to bring social revolution: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Ladli Bahna Yojana is a social revolution which started from Madhya Pradesh. This scheme is also a campaign to change the lives of sisters. The scheme will complete the tapasya performed by me for the Empowerment of poor Women. Chief Minister Chouhan participated in the concluding programme of Vikas Yatra at Baktra border of Sehore and Raisen districts.

Chief Minister Chouhan described the participation of thousands of women in the programme as a revolution and expressed gratitude to thousands of sisters for the rakhis given to him. He said that their brother Shivraj will send Rs 1000 every month to his sisters through Ladli Bahna Yojana. This will boost the respect of women at Home and in the Society.

Chief Minister Chouhan announced to open CM Rise School in Baktra. He said that today there is no field without Irrigation and no village without road in Budhni assembly constituency. He also performed bhoomi-pujan of several roads connecting several villages of Baktra. The Chief Minister said that Budhni was backward in every field 20 years ago. The previous government of 15 months had done a disservice to the common people by stopping the schemes of the villages, the poor and the deprived. The Chief Minister said that his government is determined for the welfare of every section.

MP Tourism Board Signed MoUs with Chapters of Eight Countries of GOPIO

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Boardsigned a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with chapters of 8 countries of the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) at the17th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas convention. The event was held at MP Tourism Pavilion at Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore.

The MoUs were signed withFrance Metropole Paris, Mauritius, Reunion Island, Martinique, Sri Lanka, GOPOI International, Malaysia, and Mauritius.

The MoU was signed by Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture and Managing Director of Tourism BoardSheo Shekhar Shuklaon behalf of the Tourism Board and Presidents of 8 countries of GOPIO.

The MoUs have been executed to boost cooperation in thedevelopment of the tourism sectorof the state, promotion, and publicity of tourist places.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Sant Ravidas Jayanti will be celebrated across the state on February 16. For the development and welfare of the Scheduled Caste community, new schemes will be made if necessary.

Chouhan was addressing the felicitation ceremony organised by Ahirwar Samaj at Shahganj in Sehore.

The Chief Minister said that the is providing free books, scholarships and hostel facilities to the children of scheduled castes, tribes and poor families, besides giving medical, engineering fees to the meritorious children. He said that the government is providing Pradhan Mantri Awasto the poor, so that poor people can also live with dignity. Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana honoured Chief Minister Chouhan.

Chouhan said that free ration is being provided under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan and Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojna, so that poor families do not face any difficulty in their livelihood. He said that 10 thousand rupees are being given to small traders without interest under the Pradhan Mantri Swa-nidhi and Chief Minister Street Vendor Scheme to start business again. Through Ayushman card, now any poor person can get treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in the best private hospital. He said that many economic activities are being conducted by self-help groups Women to become financially empowered. Chouhan said that bank linkage of Rs.200 crore is being done every month to self-help groups of the state. Many self-help groups are doing excellent work in the state.

Chouhan said that EMPLOYMENT Day would be celebrated on February 25 so that maximum number of youth could be provided employment and self-employment. Appreciating the Pradhan Mantri Awas built by Shahganj urban body in Ward No. 4 and 5, he said that the Pradhan Mantri Awas can be constructed by other bodies of the state in a systematic and beautiful manner by taking lessons from Shahganj. In ward no. 4 and 5 of Shahganj, 176 houses have been built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and 44 houses have been approved under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The Chief Minister announced financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each to the next of kin of three persons who died during the Corona period. Chouhan met the women of self-help groups and inquired about the economic activities of the group.

With a view to discourage excise related crimes in the state, Madhya Pradesh Excise Act (Madhya Pradesh Excise Act (Amendment) Bill, 2021 has been approved to increase the fine and penalty imposed on various types of crimes in the Cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In this, there is a provision for punishment mainly for offenses related to spurious liquor under Section 49 (A). If a person dies due to the consumption of spurious liquor, then a provision has been made for life imprisonment or death penalty and a minimum fine of Rs 20 lakh. This will increase the control of crimes.

The amendment bill provides for imprisonment of a minimum of two years and a maximum of eight years besides a fine of up to Rs two lakh for the first time and a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 14 years imprisonment and minimum fine up to Rs.10 lakh for the second time for physical damage caused by consumption of adulterated liquor unfit for human use.

Similarly, for the detection of adulterated liquor unfit for human consumption, there is provision for imprisonment for a minimum period of 6 months and maximum of 6 years and fine up to Rs. 5 lakh.

95% govt health facilities dont maintain essential drugs stocks

Around 95% of public Health facilities inMadhya Pradeshare not maintaining stocks of medicines prescribed in essential drug list (EDL) of new drug policy of , showed records. The information came to fore through an analysis of a dashboard of Madhya Pradesh Public Health Services Corporation Limited (MPPHSCL), which is monitoring real time daily stocks of facilities in the state.
The dashboard showed that only 86 of those 1617 facilities including primary health centres (PHC) and district hospitals have essential medicines stocks in accordance with drug policy of state government.

The dashboard showed records for 52 district hospitals, 73 civil hospitals, 333 CHCs, and 1019 PHCs, 93UrbanPHCs, 2 Urban CHCs, and 45Sanjivani Clinics.

Health minister Dr Prabhuram Choudhary told TOI, “The drug is supplied to respective hospitals in accordance with demands from their side and the facilities are maintaining stocks of it.”

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will distribute pension amount of Rs 301.25 crore to 50 lakh 20 thousand 979 beneficiaries on May 13 under various pension schemes of Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department. Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Minister Prem Singh Patel informed that the transfer of funds to the beneficiaries of pension schemes will be done through e-payment.

MSMEs seek reduced rate of electricity

Amid increased consumption of electricity in industries, an estimated 10 per cent jump on a year-on-year basis, small and medium enterprises have urged for a reduced rate of electricity.

Demand of electricity by industries in the year 2021 has jumped by around 10 per cent from a year earlier due to increased usage and new connections in industrial belts.
Industries of Indore, Pithampur and nearby areas consumed 570 crore units of electricity from January to December 20, up by 10 per cent from a year ago, according to Madhya Pradesh Western Region Power Distribution Company.
