UNDP has partnered with AISECT to support the Green Initiatives of the Government of India, under which the possibilities of Green Jobs for a Sustainable Future will be worked out.

The Indian economy has been badly affected due to Covid pandemic. Keeping this in mind, a Green Recovery Action Plan is being prepared in which nature-based jobs and livelihoods will be promoted. Abhishek Gupta, National Head, AISECT Project, said that under this project, green jobs and skills will be identified which will be necessary for the green transport sector.

In this, an action plan will be prepared keeping Women in mind especially. In its initial pilot project, 3000 people will be trained in which 60 percent will be women. Out of this, 2000 will be encouraged for eco- along with providing jobs in the relevant field.

Chief Minister to distribute the benefits of Tantya Mama Economic Welfare Scheme

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that various government schemes like providing Scholarship, assistance in studies and career counselling are being implemented for the youths to move ahead in life.

Many youths have changed their lives by taking advantage of these schemes. These youths should share their experiences with the students in government programmes.

This will provide inspiration and guidance to the students of the state. Conducting public welfare schemes on the martyrdom day of Jannayak Krantisurya Tantya Mama and providing help to people living in difficult circumstances to change their lives would be a true tribute to him.

It was informed that programmes have been organised at Patalpani, Bhawarkua and Nehru Stadium in Indore on the occasion of the martyrdom day of Jannayak Tantya Mama. Taking yet another step in its commitment to ensure 100% utilization of Fly Ash in its Anuppur Thermal Plant in a sustainable manner, MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Limited (MBPMPL) on Tuesday executed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Eastern Coalfield Limited (SECL).

Under the MoU, MBPMPL has taken the responsibility for backfilling of the abandoned mine void in Sharda Open Cast Mine in Shahdol District in Madhya Pradesh. Backfilling/stowing and reclamation of the mine void shall be carried out as per March 2019 guidelines of the Central Pollution Control Board and requirement stipulated by MPPCB.

Under the MOU, SECL has allocated 0.92 MCM volumes to MBPMPL for backfilling out of total capacity of 1.08 MCM of the mine void.

Implementation of Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0 starts in the state

Under this, efforts will be made to cure serious Health problems like anaemia and Malnutrition by fortifying rice with iron, folic acid and vitamin B-12. This scheme will be operational till 2022-23. The rice given to the beneficiaries under the scheme will be distributed by mixing with fortified kernels. Rice will be supplied to the beneficiaries at the rate of Re 1 per kg.

The Council of Ministers decided to implement the Land Purchase With Mutual Consent Policy, 2014 in the Departments and Undertakings as well as Central Government Departments and Undertakings. Madhya Pradesh: Govt to develop Amarkantak as naturopathy & wellness hub

Amarkantak, the origin of river Narmada, would be developed as a naturopathy and wellness centre by the government. It is to bring the local tourist destination to the national and international map.

The government plans to open a naturopathy centre, ayogainstitute and seeks to promote the medicinal Plants and herbs found in the forests. The participation of local Population would be ensured for their Empowerment. There is also a proposal of paragliding, hot air balloon and for a golf course in Amarkantak and land is being identified for the purpose. Villagers would be trained to start a homestay facility to give tourists the option to stay in the homes of villagers.

A plan in this regard is being made by the administration, and if all goes well the work is expected to start in the next few months. Officials said different departments including the Ayush department and forest department would be roped in for the naturopathy and wellness centre with facilities like panchkarma and other plans promote the local herbs and .
