Target to plant, distribute 3 crore saplings in 2023

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests V. Srinivasa Rao said the plantation will be done under different schemes and on river banks.

A total of 59.76 lakh fruit-bearing Plants including mango, jamun, vine, jackfruit, munga, custard apple, papaya, pomegranate, lemon, mulberry, almond, ber, tendu, Ganga tamarind and litchi are to be planted, Rao said.

There will also be forest produce and medicinal plants totalling 67.49 lakh and 30.42 lakh bamboo saplings.

The plan is to cover 410 hectares at about 10 kilometres on the banks of Hasdeo, Gagar, Banki, Badhura, Banas, Jamad, Mahanadi, Shivnath and Kharoon rivers. This will help to prevent Soil erosion, said Rao.

The drive will also cover both sides of state roads and outside the forest area in private and government lands like Anganwadi, Police outposts, gardens, hospitals, Gauthans, cremation grounds and government premises.

Digital hearing helps MP to remain in top 10 in disposing cases in lockdown

District courts inMadhya Pradeshhave disposed of 5.13 lakh cases amidst pandemic inducedlockdownmostly throughdigital hearingto remain in top ten of the countrys provinces list.

The district courts across the country disposed of 97.21 lakh cases between March 2020 and June this year including 5.13 lakh ones in Madhya Pradesh, showed a reply of union minister of law KirenRijijuin Lok Sabha during the last monsoon session.

With this, Madhya Pradesh remained at seventh position in disposing of cases among all states and union territories in the country in this period.

The states like Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka secured first and second position after disposing over 10 lakh cases during this pandemic induced lockdown period. The district courts in UP disposed of 19.19 lakh cases and those in Karnataka dealt with 12.39 lakh in between March 2020 and June this year.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that soon a food processing industry will be set up in Budhni. Simultaneously, cluster based medium enterprises will be started to give recognition to Budhni’s wooden toys at the national and international level.

He made the citizens resolve that when their turn comes, they must get the second dose of the vaccine and help in stopping the possible third wave of Corona. Chouhan honored the citizens and government employees who played an important role in the vaccination work by giving them citations. On the challenges of the first and second wave of Corona, Chouhan said that everyone must wear masks and remain alert at all times.

The Satpura Tiger Reserve of the State has received the Natwest Group Earth Heroes Award in the Earth Guardian category for best management. The 26 species of found in the Himalayan region and 42 species found in the Nilgiri forests are also found abundantly in the Satpura forest area. That is why it is also named as the Northern Ghats like the vast Western Ghats. Some species like the insectivorous Ghataparni, Bamboo, Hisalu, Baruhaldi are found both in Satpura and the Himalayas.
