Target to plant, distribute 3 crore saplings in 2023

The Forest and https://exam.pscnotes.com/Climate-change”>Climate Change Department in Chhattisgarh has set a target to plant and distribute three crore saplings in 2023.

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests V. Srinivasa Rao said the plantation will be done under different schemes and on river banks.

A total of 59.76 lakh fruit-bearing Plants including mango, jamun, vine, jackfruit, munga, custard apple, papaya, pomegranate, lemon, mulberry, almond, ber, tendu, Ganga tamarind and litchi are to be planted, Rao said.

There will also be forest produce and medicinal plants totalling 67.49 lakh and 30.42 lakh bamboo saplings.

The plan is to cover 410 hectares at about 10 kilometres on the banks of Hasdeo, Gagar, Banki, Badhura, Banas, Jamad, Mahanadi, Shivnath and Kharoon rivers. This will help to prevent Soil erosion, said Rao.

The drive will also cover both sides of state roads and outside the forest area in private and government lands like Anganwadi, Police outposts, gardens, hospitals, Gauthans, cremation grounds and government premises.

Narmada water will now reach every home in Indore through solar energy

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Indore is the land of innovations. Indore has established its identity as the epicenter of cleanliness. Indore residents have made another innovation under the Leadership of the young and energetic Mayor of Indore . Solar Energy will now be used to supply water to every house in Indore.

In Indore, the water of Narmada is now being supplied to homes through conventional electricity. Now this work will be done with the help of solar energy (green energy). For this, a solar power plant will be set up in Jalud.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is a matter of joy that green energy will be produced by issuing public Bonds. This is a wonderful experiment of Indore which only Indore can do. Appealing to the residents of Indore to cooperate in the implementation of this innovation, Chief Minister Chouhan said that we have to maintain the honor of Apna Indore-Sadaiv Pratham. Olympian Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar Goldie Tomar of Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy continued her stellar performance and won two gold medals each in the 50m rifle prone category of the 64th National Rifle Shooting Championship-2021.

Madhya Pradesh won a total of 8 medals including 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze in the 50m Rifle Prone event. In this championship, players of MP Academy have won a total of 21 medals so far.

Digital hearing helps MP to remain in top 10 in disposing cases in lockdown

District courts inMadhya Pradeshhave disposed of 5.13 lakh cases amidst pandemic inducedlockdownmostly throughdigital hearingto remain in top ten of the countrys provinces list.

The district courts across the country disposed of 97.21 lakh cases between March 2020 and June this year including 5.13 lakh ones in Madhya Pradesh, showed a reply of union minister of law KirenRijijuin Lok Sabha during the last monsoon session.

With this, Madhya Pradesh remained at seventh position in disposing of cases among all states and union territories in the country in this period.

The states like Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka secured first and second position after disposing over 10 lakh cases during this pandemic induced lockdown period. The district courts in UP disposed of 19.19 lakh cases and those in Karnataka dealt with 12.39 lakh in between March 2020 and June this year.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that soon a food processing industry will be set up in Budhni. Simultaneously, cluster based medium enterprises will be started to give recognition to Budhni’s wooden toys at the national and international level.

Chouhan said that he would make villages self-dependent by providing strong to self-help groups and through cluster based units. Chouhan said that the State Government‘s focus is on quality Education, Health and welfare of the poor as well as EMPLOYMENT. He said that even the children of the village can get excellent education from CM Rise Schools.

The Chief Minister said that apart from improving health Services and for the treatment of the poor, efforts are being made to provide benefits of schemes like Ayushman card to every needy person. Plan has been made to supply water through taps to every house, so that no Majra-Tola remains deprived. Chouhan said that efforts are being made to ensure Irrigation facility to be made available to 100 percent villages.

Chouhan appreciated the government staff including the citizens of Budhni for 100 percent vaccination. He made the citizens resolve that when their turn comes, they must get the second dose of the vaccine and help in stopping the possible third wave of Corona. Chouhan honored the citizens and government employees who played an important role in the vaccination work by giving them citations. On the challenges of the first and second wave of Corona, Chouhan said that everyone must wear masks and remain alert at all times.

Madhya Pradesh has made another achievement in the field of nature conservation. The Satpura Tiger Reserve of the State has received the Natwest Group Earth Heroes Award in the Earth Guardian category for best management. Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah has congratulated the staff associated with the management of Satpura Tiger Reserve.

It is noteworthy that the Satpura Tiger Reserve has also been included in the potential list of World Heritage. Satpura Tiger Reserve in Hoshangabad district is spread over an area of 2130 square kilometer. It is part of the Deccan Bio-Geographic Region. It is the oldest forest wealth of the country, full of unmatched natural beauty, which has been carefully preserved.

The 26 species of found in the Himalayan region and 42 species found in the Nilgiri forests are also found abundantly in the Satpura forest area. That is why it is also named as the Northern Ghats like the vast Western Ghats. Some species like the insectivorous Ghataparni, Bamboo, Hisalu, Baruhaldi are found both in Satpura and the Himalayas. Similarly, among the species found in both the Western Ghats and Satpura, red sandalwood is the main one. Cinchona plant, from which malarias medicine quinine is made, is found here in large quantity.

The Satpura Tiger Reserve is said to be the soul of the eco-system of the central region of India. Here there are Plants like Acai Vat, wild jasmine, which are not found anywhere else. Satpura National Park is well known for the presence of tigers and as their breeding ground.

It is one of the regions of Central India with a good presence of tigers. In terms of internal management of Protected Areas, Satpura Tiger Reserve is the best example of the country in itself. Satpura alone accounts for 17 per cent of the country’s tiger Population and 12 per cent of tiger habitat. It is the richest Biodiversity area in the country.
