Govt and society together will make the state drug free

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has said that it is the responsibility of the government to make the lives of citizens and save their lives with development activities. Due to intoxication, body, mind, intellect and family are all harmed.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the state-wide drug de-addiction campaign program started in the state from Gandhi Jayanti. While administring pledge to the people present to make Madhya Pradesh drug-free, Chouhan said that the government and Society together will make the state drug-free.

On the occasion, PM also distributed e-property cards to 1,71,000 beneficiaries under the SVAMITVA scheme.

Centre approves Indores local area re-development plan

The local area plan (LAP) ofIndorehas been selected by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for implementation under town planning schemes (TPS) for selected AMRUT cities, said Indore (IMC).

IMC officials said that Indore is the only city selected for the scheme in Madhya Pradesh. Indore is probably the only city till date, whose draft Local Area Plan (LAP) has been approved by the ministry under the scheme. The ministry is also going to showcase LAP project of Indore in ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ to be held at Lucknow in monthend, said IMC commissioner Pratibha Pal.

Detailing about the local area plan, she said that the main objective of local area planning is to guide and facilitate redevelopment of already developed areas of the city in a systematic and organized manner. And it may also be considered as the tool to implement the development plan of the city. LAP has been prepared from urban planning and development point of view, and it has been guided by Indore Development Plan 2021 prepared under the provisions of Madhya Pradesh Town and Country Planning Act 1973, she said.

Thehome departmenthas sent the draft bill to the law department for clearance so that it can be placed before the cabinet.

The anti-gangster law will have provisions for two-to-10 years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 25,000. If anyone attacks a public servant — you may have seen incidents of stones being hurled at government officials — the quantum of imprisonment will increase from two years to five years, and the fine will be hiked from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000.

Bhopal ready to jump on 1 nation 1 card bandwagon

Niti Aayogs One Nation One Card initiative is getting closer to become a reality in Bhopal. After floating an expression of interest earlier this year, city bus operator Bhopal city link limited (BCLL) is anticipating a rollout during the current fiscal.

Most transport operators in main cities already have smart cards to make payments. We are looking at integration of all into one. One card to pay for bus, metro and the same card can work nationally, said BCLL and Bhopalsmart citydevelopment corporation limited (BSCDCL) CEO, Gourav Benal.

This week, top five players have expressed their interest. Each made an hour-long presentation. BCLL would move ahead with the tendering and implementation stage, he added.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the disposal of 96.6 per cent cases at the state level is a remarkable achievement in the Mukhyamantri Jan-Seva Abhiyan which started from May 10. Various pending works of the common man should be completed by July 15.

Chouhan was reviewing after apprising himself about the redressal of cases under the Mukhyamantri Jan-Seva Abhiyan 2.0 which started from May 10 in Mantralaya. Cabinet members, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and other officers were present.

The state government is procuring wheat, gram, lentils, and mustard on the support price from the farmers in the Rabi procurement. So far, over one crore metric tonnes of wheat, gram, and lentils have been procured from 13 lakh 54 thousand 497 farmers at 5171 procurement centers set up in the state.

This time 35 lakh 79 thousand 423 farmers got themselves registered in Rabi procurement. Out of this, registration of 35 lakh 64 thousand 569 farmers was verified. 5735 procurement centers were set up for purchase. Out of these 5171 centers are active. Out of these, procurement is being done at 4657 centers for wheat and 514 centers for gram, lentils, and mustard. SMS was sent to 32 lakh 74 thousand 625 farmers for purchasing the crop.

So far 99 lakh 38 thousand 29 metric tonnes of wheat have been purchased from 13 lakh 12 thousand 605 farmers, one lakh 10 thousand 480 metric tons of gram from 41,850 farmers, and 17 metric tons of lentils from 37 farmers. Thus far, one crore of 48 thousand 526 metric tonnes of produce has been purchased at the support price, which is worth 20,191 crores. Out of this, a payment of Rs 15,476 crores have been made to the concerned farmers. Out of the purchased product, 92 lakh 64 thousand 858 metric tons have also been transported.

Chief Minister dedicates Hirwar Micro Irrigation Project

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the welfare of farmers is the priority of the government. Several measures have been taken for the welfare of the farmers.

To increase the area under Irrigation in the state, many projects are being implemented and are under construction. Water is being delivered for irrigation to the farmers fields at higher places by laying pipelines.

The CM said that through the Hirwar Project of Shahdol district, irrigation facilities will be expanded in 7481 hectares of farmers’ land in 37 villages, which will change the lives of the farmers and make their fields prosperous.
