The Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that orphan girls should be added to the Ladli Laxmi Yojana. The Chief Minister, Chouhan was reviewing the Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0 of the Department of Women and Child Development in the Ministry. The Chief Minister, Chouhan said that Ladli Laxmi Diwas should be organized at the state, district, block, gram panchayat level.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to fix the criteria for declaring Gram Panchayats and Villages as Ladli Laxmi Friendly. He said driving licences should be issued to 18 year old Ladli Lakshmi.

The Chief Minister, Shri Chouhan said that the will bear the cost of Education for admission of darling girls to government-non-government medical, engineering, IITs and IIMs. He said that if the ladli girl enters the college, she will be given 25,000 rupees.

PM SVAnidhi loans for over 6L streetvendors

More than 6 lakh street-vendors have received loans inMadhya Pradeshso far under the PMSVAnidhischeme, said urban development and housing ministerBhupendra Singh.

Moreover, 2.26 lakh street-vendors have received cashback of Rs 3.15 crore by doing digital transactions.

PM Street Vendors Atma NirbharNidhi Yojana(PM SVAnidhi) was started from 2020 by the central government to provide WORKING CAPITAL loans of Rs 10,000, 20000 and 50,000 to street vendors, the most affected class in urban areas during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the first phase of the scheme, an interest-free loan of Rs 10,000 was given. On repaying it on time, a loan of 20,000 and then 50,000 rupees was given.

The ambitious Rs 45,000 crore Ken-Betwa river link project, which has been pending for the last 16 years, will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi in November, Madhya Pradesh Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat told.

The Centre, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh governments have reached a consensus on the project, said Silawat. He, however, said linking the project to UP Assembly polls slated to be held next year was not be appropriate as the inauguration was only aimed to address water needs of the two states.

Silawat further said since there were no more pending issues between the two states, the link project work will resume from November.

The Ken-Betwa project was mooted in 2005 to meet the water needs of the parched Bundelkhand region, which is spread across MP and UP borders. The scheme though has been embroiled in several issues for the last 16 years.

After lengthy negotiations on several issues, including water-sharing ratio, the two states and the Centre had signed the MoU on March 22 this year. As part of the project, surplus water of river Ken in MP will be transferred to river Betwa in UP for irrigating 3.64 lakh hectares in Bundelkhand. The projects involved construction of a 77 metre-tall and 2 km-wide Dhaudhan dam and a 230 km canal.

Rs 2100 crore interest of farmers will be waived on June 13

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that his schemes for Women Empowerment including Ladli Bahna Yojana will usher in a new era in the next five years by overcoming injustice, illiteracy and POVERTY.

The Chief Minister said that the farmers should also be happy as the government will pay the interest amount of Rs 2100 crores of farmers on coming June 13. Apart from Rs 2,900 crore for crop Insurance, a Kisan Samman Nidhi of Rs 2,000 each will also be deposited in the accounts of the farmers.

Bhopal generated 500MT Covid biomed waste since March 2020

Ever since the beginning of the pandemic, about 500 metric tons of corona biomedical waste has been generated inBhopalsince March 2020. It was around half of the total biomedical waste generated in Bhopal from hospitals in normal times.

Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board(MPPCB) conducted a day to day monitoring of the biomedical waste generated from corona patients in hospitals and ensured its disposal, as per the directives of the central pollution control board issued in July 2020.

Pollution control board officials informed there are five facilities in satellite towns and cities adjoining Bhopal that collect, incinerate and treat the bio medical waste. Hospitals in Bhopal have tied up with one or the other facility for collection and disposal of its bio-medical waste.

Kamal Nath inaugurates Nari Samman Yojana from Chhindwara
