MP: Cine association seeks tax waiver for cinema halls

The Central CircuitCine Associationon Wednesday demanded a complete waiver of property tax for 2021-22 and a rebate of fixed charges in electricity bills for cinema halls inMadhya Pradesh.

TheGujaratgovernment has waived property tax of cinema halls completely and also given rebates of fixed charges in electricity bills which means they have to pay only as per the actual meter reading,” the association’s director O PGoyalsaid.

Scholarship will be given to 34 lakh students

State Scholarship is being provided by the Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department for the improvement in educational level of backward class students studying in classes 6 to 10 in the state. This year the benefit of this scheme will be given to 34 lakh students.

The department has made a provision of Rs. 250 crore in the budget this year for the scheme. Under the scheme, the benefit of state scholarship is given to those students of these classes, whose parents income does not come under the limit of payer. In the last year 2022-23, the department had spent an amount of Rs 222 crore in this scheme as state scholarship.

The Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department is running an award scheme in the name of three great personalities for doing excellent work in the development of minorities.

Madhya Pradesh assembly monsoon session likely in July end or Aug first week with strict Covid protocol

The monsoon session ofMadhya Pradeshassembly is likely to be convened during the third week of July or first week of August. The session is likely to be short in view of Covid-19 protocols.

Sources said that afterlockdown relaxationin the state, most of the members have agreed to remain physically present during the session though.

The forthcoming monsoon session will be held under strict protocol and only three to five sittings of the House will be convened. Sources disclosed that apart from routine business, the house is likely to clear supplementary estimates, some bills and questions from the members. An all-party meeting will be convened ahead of the session to decide the tenure and issues to be taken up during the proceedings.

Veer Tejaji Welfare Board will be formed in Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Jat community is a courageous, hardworking and brave community. This community also does the work of stocking the grain store for the country. The Jat Regiment has been inducted in the Indian Army. The community has given us leaders like Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Maharaja Yashodharman, Surajmal, Bhakta Karmabai, Maharaja Poras, Puranmal and Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh. Veer Tejaji Maharaj is considered sacred in the Jat community.

Hence, with due respects to the sentiments of the Jat community, Veer Tejaji Welfare Board will be formed in Madhya Pradesh. There will also be an optional holiday on Teja Dashami, the Nirvana day of Tejaji Maharaj. Along with this, necessary initiatives will be taken for educational buildings in Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior. The HISTORY of Jat legends will also be included in the school curriculum, so that the younger generation can get inspiration and guidance.

The Jats emerged as a major military force to resist the Mughals. Rajaram Jat, the ruler of Bharatpur, started an organized rebellion against Aurangzeb. Similarly one gets to hear the stories of bravery of Maharaja Suraj Mal and his son Jawahar Singh. Jat rulers like Raja Nahar Singh, Hira Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Raghuveer Singh Jind, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh have left an indelible mark.

Swami Keshavanand participated in the freedom struggle and contributed significantly in the field of social reform. A large number of Jat community resides in Narmadanchal, Harda, Narmadapuram, Narsinghpur, Dewas, Dhar and Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

Despite frantic efforts by thegovernment, Madhya Pradesh is facing more than 50% Oxygen shortage for Covid-19 patients. This shortage is likely to deepen in the coming days as the number of active Coronavirus patients is increasing far too rapidly.

The government focus for the oxygen supply was on the medical college hospitals of the state and the government-run Covid care centres in various districts. But, large number of patients admitted to the private hospitals continue to face unprecedented oxygen crisis.

MP to attract 4000 cr investment from pharmaceutical industries

Madhya Pradeshis expected to attract Rs 4,000-Rs 4,500 crore from pharmaceutical industries in the next 5 years amid lucrative policies, incentives and geographical advantage, saidDr Viranchi Shah, national president,Indian Drug Manufacturers Association(IDMA).

IDMA is Indias largest association of drug manufacturers with 1,100 members from small, medium and large scale industries that together contribute around 80 per cent in the total drugs manufactured in India. We are interacting with the MP government and trying to facilitate serious investors in the state. The policies and incentives offered by MP are very attractive for industries. We expect an investment of around Rs 4,000-Rs 4,500 crore to come to MP in the next 5 years into drug manufacturing and medical devices, said Shah on the side-lines of the executive committee eeting held in Indore where close to 100 Industry players from the pharmaceutical sector from India have participated.

Narmada selected in the project of rejuvenation of 13 rivers of country

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Cabinet for including the life-giving Ma Narmada of Madhya Pradesh in the detailed project report on the rejuvenation of 13 rivers through Forestry initiatives.

Chief Minister Chouhan has said that the plan for rejuvenation of 13 major rivers of the country by taking concrete initiatives through forestry is in line with the holistic vision of Prime Minister Modi to make the next 25 years as Amrit Kaal. This is also in line with India’s commitment to Panchamrita at the COP-26 Global Climate Summit held last year.

This project is important from the point of view of conservation and restoration of rivers. Concrete work towards saving the Environment will also strengthen the progress of the country. Prime Minister Modi has envisioned this scheme with a visionary perspective. His Philosophy on the subjects related to the environment has reached many countries of the world. He has also successfully conveyed his message to international environmental conferences.

Madhya Pradesh has 11.2 Gigawatt pumped hydro storage capacity, says Hardeep Dang

New and Minister Hardeep Singh Dang said that Madhya Pradesh will create its own special place in the country in pumped hydro storage projects. According to the assessment made by the Central Electricity Authority, the capacity of 11.2 Gigawatt pumped hydro storage projects is available for development in Madhya Pradesh.

The Cabinet has decided to implement the pumped hydro storage projects and execute the tender process.

In order to encourage the pumped hydro storage project, registered projects will be given incentives and benefits including exemption under Madhya Pradesh Renewable Energy Policy-2022 in proposed electricity fee and energy development undertaking, reimbursement of stamp duty, exemption in wheeling charges, exemption in registration-cum-facilitation fee and government land with the right to use at cent percent circle rate.

Cabinet approves 108-feet tall statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Omkareshwar

The Madhya Pradesh cabinet on Wednesday approved the construction of a 108-feet tall statue of the 8th century Indian philosopher Adi Shankaracharya, a museum dedicated to him and an International Advaita Vedanta Sansthan at Omkareshwar at a cost of Rs 2,141 crore.

Shankaracharya is known for consolidating the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta, a Hindu school of Philosophy. On November 5 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a12-foot statue of Shankaracharya at the Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand.

The State Cabinet here on Wednesday gave approval regarding effective control over illegal mining, transportation and storage of Minerals. With regard to illegal mining, transportation and storage of minerals, Rule 53 of Madhya Pradesh Minor Mineral Rules, 1996 and Rule 20 of Madhya Pradesh Sand (Mining, Transport, Storage and Trade) Rules, 2019 have been repealed from these rules.

In the provisions made in illegal mining, transportation and storage of minerals, a provision has been made to impose a penalty of double the amount of the total punishment imposed along with forfeiture of 15 times the royalty and its equivalent amount to be taken as environmental compensation in illegal mining and storage of minerals and vehicles and machinery confiscated for not depositing the total penalty imposed in the case.

Madhya Pradesh to set up countrys first education centre for improving nurses skills

Country’s first Education center will be set up in Madhya Pradesh for improving the skills of Nursing staff for government hospitals and private medical institutions. Preparations have been started for this, this center is to be constructed in Bhopal at a cost of 25 crores.

After the complaints of patients about the lack of high skills in government hospitals and medical institutions among nursing staff and to alienate the suffering of patients, now preparations are being made by the for improving the quality of the nursing staff of the hospitals. In this , a Center of Excellence of Nursing and Midwifery Education will be established to make the nursing staff skilled in the work of nursing from primary level Health facility to super specialty hospital.

This first center of the country will be located in Bhopal. If the officials of the Medical Education Department are to be believed, then there is no such dedicated institution in the country, in which skill training is given to the nursing staff after completing their studies.
