PESA Act will enable economic-social empowerment of tribal community

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the has been implemented for the economic and social progress of tribals and to make them empowered. This act is in the interest of all the citizens of the Society. It is not against any citizen of non-tribal society. The PESA Act will be applicable in the villages in the Scheduled Areas, this Act will not be applicable in the cities. The PESA Act will strengthen tribal brothers and sisters who have been left behind in the race for development.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that there is a provision in the rules of the PESA Act that the permission of the Gram Sabha will be necessary for the survey and land acquisition to be done in any project of the governments plan. Now no one will be able to grab the land of any tribal citizen by deceit and force. If someone does so, the Gram Sabha will have the right to get it back. He said that attempts to convert people by Persuasion and then to grab the land of tribal community will not be allowed. Chouhan said that the Gram Sabha will decide whether or not to award contracts for mineral mines, which include sand, ballast and stone mines. The society will have the first right on the mine, then the Women of the village and then the men.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government has made ponds in every village. The complete management of these ponds will be done by the Gram Sabha. The Gram Sabha will decide whether to rear fish in the ponds or not. The income from the pond will be given to the Gram Sabha. The management of the pond which irrigates 100 acres of agricultural area will now be done by the Gram Sabha, not the Irrigation Department.

Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Cabinet has given its approval to start Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana to connect educated youths of the State with self-employment. The benefit of the scheme will be available to the minimum 12th class pass youths of the State between the ages of 18 to 40 years.

Under the scheme, projects ranging from one lakh to 50 lakh rupees for manufacturing units and one lakh to 25 lakh rupees for service units or retail businesses will be approved. Interest subsidy at the rate of three per cent per annum and loan guarantee fee will be given to the beneficiary at the prevailing rate for a maximum of 7 years on the loan disbursed by the as financial assistance. The implementation of the scheme will be done through the online portal. Through this scheme, youths who want to set up Industry, service or business will get loans at low interest rates through banks. Also, no collateral security will have to be given for bank loans.

In order to promote air connectivity for Economic Development in the state, the cabinet rationalized the rates of VAT on Aircraft Turbine Fuel (ATF) in Bhopal and Indore, similar to the rate of 4 percent fixed in Gwalior, Khajuraho and Jabalpur. Assam CM appreciates the cleanliness efforts in MP

Chouhan said that 5205 girls who were abducted in the state in the last 6 months have been brought back to their homes, which is 60.8% of the total 8566 girls abducted.

It was informed that in 18 cases of crimes against Women in the state, the death sentences given by the courts have been kept unchanged by the . Now the matter is in The Supreme Court. Chief Minister Chouhan directed that the government’s side should be kept firmly in the cases in the Supreme Court.

Madhya Pradesh: Crisis management groups formed to fight corona at block and village level

With the Coronavirus pandemic spreading into villages, the has decided to formcrisis management groupsat block andvillage level. In the urban areas, these groups would be formed at the ward level.

An order issued by the state Home department in this regard said that in line with the crisis management groups working at the district level, the state government has decided to have similar groups at the block and village level in the rural areas and ward level in the urban areas.
These groups at the block level would be headed by SDO (revenue) and SDO (Police).

Chief executive officer (CEO) of Janpad Panchayat, chief municipal officer, block medical officer, project officer (Women & child development department), representatives of local MP and MLA, peoples’ representative nominated by district collector, local persons of repute and representatives of NGOs will be members of crisis management groups at block level.

Separate boards will be formed for the welfare of OBCs

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said at Ambedkar Mahakumbh in Gwalior that on this auspicious occasion we have come to talk about Panch Kranti for the development of the state and welfare of all sections of the Society. Panch Kranti includes revolution of Education, revolution of EMPLOYMENT, revolution of housing i.e. land for living and revolution of respect of all classes. He made announcements to provide land for setting-up Baba Saheb Ambedkar Dham and Institute in Gwalior and to form separate boards for all backward sub-castes for the purpose of welfare of all sections of the society.

Chouhan said that Baba Saheb had said that if you are educated, you will progress. With this feeling, the has opened schools like Shramodaya Vidyalaya and Gyanodaya under the revolution of education. Hostels have been established. Along with this, if the hostel is not available for any child, then the government is also paying the rent of the room. The government is also paying the fees for courses like medical and engineering along with studying in abroad. Now medical and engineering studies have been started in Hindi also in the state. The arrangement of hostels is being improved in the Kayakalp Abhiyan.

The Chief Minister said that the second revolution is going on in the state in the form of employment revolution. Government recruitment process is going on for one lakh 24 thousand posts in the state. Loan-subsidy of one lakh to 50 lakh is being provided to the Scheduled Caste youths under the Sant Ravidas Self-Employment Scheme and Rs 10,000 to one lakh under the Bhimrao Ambedkar Economic Welfare Scheme. Apart from TEACHING the work of different industrial sectors to the educated children, an honorarium of Rs. 8,000 per month to each child is being given.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the third revolution in Madhya Pradesh is housing, that is, land for living. Land and housing are being arranged for the poor persons to live. Under the Mukhya Mantri Awasiya Bhu-Adhikar Yojana, every poor family is being given a plot of land for living.

Chouhan said that Empowerment of sisters is the fourth revolution in the state. Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, Sambal Yojana, reservation for Women in panchayat Elections, reservation in recruitment of teachers and Police, exemption in registry stamp fee and now Ladli Bahna Yojana have brought a massive change in the lives of sisters. Her respect in the society has been boosted and she is becoming empowered and self-reliant. Under the Ladli Bahna Yojana, from June 10, one thousand rupees will be deposited in the accounts of sisters.

Chouhan said that the fifth revolution in the state is a revolution of respect for all. Social revolution is going on in the state for the respect and progress of every section of the society. He announced that boards of all backward sub-castes would be formed for the welfare of all sections of the society. President, Vice President and members will be appointed in every board, who will find out the problems of their respective societies and inform about them.
