Madhya Pradesh’s first medical device manufacturing park may come up at Vikram Udyogpuri inUjjainunder the central government’s scheme, ‘Promotion of Medical Devices Parks’, aimed at boosting Health and reducing cost of medical devices.

The State Government has identified around 200 acres at Vikram Udyogpuri in Ujjain for developing the medical device park. A detailed project report will be sent to Centre by December.

Initially, the state government had proposed over 300 acres in Hoshangabad district for setting upmedical devices park. But the Centre suggested considering an alternate location near Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

In the country, four states – Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh – have been given the ‘in-principle’ approval by the Centre for setting up medical devices park under the scheme for which it will give a maximum assistance of Rs 100 crore to one park.
The state government will give land and contribute in remaining development of the park. It also aims to provide electricity and land at subsidized rates to industries. Tenure of the scheme is from financial year 2020-2021 to 2024-2025.

The medical devices park will provide common infrastructure facilities to manufacturers aimed at reducing manufacturing cost and improving affordability of medical devices in the domestic market.

Besides 14 in India, only three other sites one each in Nepal, Bhutan and Russia have got the CA|TS tag which is being given through a prescribed process of site registration through external evaluation including verification of evidence.
Globally, the CA|TS is being implemented across 125 sites in seven tiger range countries and 94 of them are in India.

Chief ministerShivraj Singh Chouhansaid that the Empowerment of the country is not possible without the empowerment of Women.

Horticulture and medicinal crops are abundant. There is also a huge potential for investment in the pharmaceutical sector.

Indian Institute Of Management, Indore (IIM Indore) has signed aMoUwith MPPollutionControl Board (MPPCB) to address environmental challenges and foster sustainability in the state.

The institute also joined hands with the Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation (MPBDC) to revolutionize development initiatives in the state.

Both the MoUs were signed by IIM Indore director Prof Himanshu Rai and MPPCB member secretary and MPBDC directorChandra MohanThakur.

Jabalpurhas bagged two Awards under theSmart Citiesmissions India Smart Cities Awards Contest (ISAC) 2020.

In the best performing cities category, Jabalpur is awarded 3rd position, whereas Indore ranks first. And apart from the overall performance, it ranks 7th in data assessment and usage in city planning.

The awards were declared on the basis of measures taken for collection of data in a systematic manner, preparing city data policy and also using this data in a systematic manner.

Overall,Madhya Pradeshhas bagged 11 awards and ranks seventh, followed by Uttar Pradesh. Five cities of the state – Indore, Jabalpur, Bhopal,Gwaliorand Sagar – have bagged one or more awards each.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there was a time when daughters were considered a burden in Madhya Pradesh, today they have become a boon. The sisters of the state are now changing the fortune of themselves and their families and the picture of the state. This has been made possible by schemes like Ladli Lakshmi, Chief Minister Kanya-Vivah-Nikah, 50 percent reservation in local bodies, Women reservation in Police and teachers recruitment, livelihood mission, exemption for sisters in stamp duty and now Ladli Bahna.

Chouhan attended the Ladli Bahna Sammelan-cum-Chief Minister’s residential land rights distribution ceremony at Prithvipur in Niwari district today. He inaugurated-bhoomi-pujan of development works worth Rs. 95 crore. He also distributed certificates of Chief Minister Residential Land Rights Scheme, Ladli Laxmi Yojna and Ladli Bahna Yojna.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Ladli Bahna Yojana is a plan to change the lives of sisters. Under the scheme, from June 10 onwards, on the 10th of every month, an amount of one thousand rupees will be deposited in the accounts of the sisters. Self-help groups of women are being empowered under the Livelihood Mission. It is our endeavor that every sister should earn at least Rs. 10,000 in a month. Ladli Bahna Sena is being formed in every village, which will further the work of women’s welfare. You will make your own luck with your own hands. In a small village, 11 members’ and in a big village, 21members’ Ladli Bahna Army will be formed.

The last wave in Madhya Pradesh peaked at 22,000 Active Cases with maximum hospitalization requirement of 4500 patients across Madhya Pradesh. The public across districts was more than adequate to effectively manage the case load, with less than 50% occupancy observed across Government tertiary Health care centers- the Government medical colleges.

But the State Government had already started planning for the worst, rapidly increasing bed capacities across primary, secondary and tertiary health care centers, ensuring every district had the adequate number of beds in the worst-case scenario.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the government is constantly working for the Empowerment of Women. The Chief Minister dedicated and laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 77 crore. Along with this, artificial limbs and laptops were distributed to the disabled under the Chief Ministers Education Promotion Scheme. The Chief Minister handed over the keys of tractor and scooty to the women associated with the Livelihood Mission.

Chouhan said that the students should pursue studies seriously and move forward. Scholarship and Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana has been started by the government for poor students of every category. Under the Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, the fees for higher education of talented students are being paid by the government. Scooty will also be given to the girls who get the highest marks in class 12th. Now medical, engineering etc. studies have also been started in Hindi in the state.

He said that Rs 1400 crore plan has been approved to increase the water level of Burhanpur district. Once the land is identified in Shahpur, an amount of Rs one crore will be given for the construction of the stadium. He announced renaming of Shahpur Municipal Council office after Late Nandkumar Chouhan and Rs one crore for its development.
