National Metallurgical Laboratory ( NML) has penned a MoU to transfer technology of e-waste recycling to M/s Metaore Recycler Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata. NML has transferred a number of technologies to national and international industries and research organisations. M/s Metaore Recycling Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata will process the non-ferrous, valuable and precious metals (Cu, Ni, Al, Au, Pd, Ag, Pt, etc.) and apart of that they will recycle all the materials present in it based on zero waste concepts.

Metaore recycling plant will be the first plant in Eastern India which will work on the zero waste concepts and it will be a big gift to the Society after the corona pandemic.

On the occasion, MoU was signed by director NML, Dr. Indranil Chattoraj, Project Leader, Dr. Manis Kumar Jha, Dr. Jhumki Hait, Sr. Principal Scientist, researchers Dr. Pankaj Kumar Choubey, Ms. Rekha Panda, and from the RPBD side, Dr. S. K. Pal and Dr. Beena Kumari were altogether present.

Rims, pvt univ sign MoU to promote edu

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between state-runRajendra Institute of Medical Sciences(Rims) and Amity University, Jharkhand on Friday to promote a collaborative Education programme, capacity development and joint research projects.

As per the memorandum, the university and the hospital shall make arrangements to share respective facilities in order to foster academic and scientific interaction in the areas of cooperation.

Government hikes wages of mid day meal workes

The Government decided to hike the pay for mid-day meal kitchen assistants by Rs 500 per month. Jharkhand has 79,551 kitchen assistants who will now get Rs 2,000 per month. The Cabinet also approved Rs 39.79 crore for the revised payment. This is the second occasion when their pay was revised. In the previous Government a hike of Rs 500 was made.

Under the Central sponsored scheme, kitchen assistants get Rs 1,000 per month for 10 months a year. 60 per cent of the payment is given by the Central Government and the rest by the .

Here the tourists get all the necessary facilities. This state should become the centre of attraction for the tourists of the world. Keeping this in mind, a special action plan is being prepared by the government for the development of all tourist places and it is being implemented in a phased manner, said Chief Minister Hemant Soren today while dedicating the newly constructed “Paryatan Vihar” (VIP Guest House) at Patratu Lake Resort Complex to the people of the state.

The Chief Minister said that with this initiative, Jharkhand will get a different identity on the tourism map. He told the people that this tourist spot is your property. Have a picnic here. Travel around and have fun. But, do not harm it under any circumstances. Don’t pollute it. Take care of the cleanliness of the entire campus. Government can strengthen the of any tourist place, but it is your responsibility to run and keep it safe.

The CM said that the Patratu Dam catchment area would be demarcated, so that it is not encroached upon and it can be kept safe. For this, he directed the District Administration to take all necessary steps. He said that action should also be taken against those who spread filth in the dam premises.

Edu dept plans health cards for students and teachers

Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts(ABHA) would be provided to students in government and non-government schools, as well as teachers and employees of educational institutions across the state. The school Education and Literacy department has given directions to all the districts in this regard.

According to the instructions, all health facilities and health-related reports of the students, teachers and employees of the government and non-government entities would be connected online and will benefit them through the ABHA card.

Floating solar plants are to be set up on the water reservoirs located in the State. Under this, Chief Minister, Hemant Soren has approved the proposal of the Energy Department to set up a 100 MW capacity floating solar plant in the Geltasud reservoir of Ranchi in the first phase. With the installation of floating solar plants on the reservoirs, the availability of electricity will be ensured and will also help in water conservation.

Keeping in mind sustainable and inclusive development as well as environmental management, the 2010 has been launched by the Union Ministry of New and RENEWABLE ENERGY to promote the use of renewable energy sources to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources. Under this, the Central government has set a target of developing 175 GW (one thousand MW) renewable energy capacities by the year 2022, which aims to produce 100 GW of solar power. In this connection, several schemes are being implemented like Solar Park, Ultramega Solar Power Project, Grid Connected Solar PP Power Project and Floating Solar Plant.

In Jharkhand also, the work of promoting power generation from renewable energy sources is being done through several projects. In the Light of the feasibility report, jointly prepared by JREDA and Solar Energy Corporation of India, to produce electrical energy by installing floating solar plant on reservoirs to meet the growing power energy requirement with Environment management, the floating solar plant is being set up in the Gaeltasud reservoir.

Meanwhile, in another development, Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, in the financial year 2020-21 has approved the proposal for acceptance of payment of Rs. 600,00,000 (Rupees six crores) and the draft mandate, for reimbursement of fee of children belonging to weaker and unprivileged classes enrolled in reserved seats in pre-primary class as primary class in unaided private schools under Gyanodaya Scheme (Primary Education).

After the approval of the proposal of the Department of School Education and Literacy by the Chief Minister, 11764 students belonging to the weaker and disadvantaged category will be benefited under the Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, enrolled in 25 per cent seats of admission class in private schools. The State Government will reimburse expenditure on education of such children at a maximum rate of Rs 425 per child.

Govt gifts several new schemes to masses

The on Thursday announced free distribution of food grains including one kilogram pulses per household to ration card holders so that poor people get protein and other nutrients. State Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon, while presenting the budget today announced that the State government is committed to provide protein nutrients to the poor and distribution of pulses to ration card holders is in this step.

Apart from announcing one kilogram of pulses to ration card holders, the finance minister also announced that people will get 100 units of free electricity. As the Soren government budget primarily focuses on farmers, tribalsand poor, the other announcement made in the budget is launch of Godhan Vikas Yojana in State under which the government will purchase cow dung from farmers for producing biogas.

The Godhan Vikas Yojana is on the lines of a similar scheme run by Chhattisgarh government aims at boosting the rural economy by procuring cow dung from farmers and cattle rearers initially in the rural area later in the urban area too.

Godhan Nyay Yojana is the scheme launched on 21st July 2020, on the occasion of Hareli, the first festival of the state, by the Chhattisgarh government led by Bhupesh Baghel. Under the scheme the Chhattisgarh government procures cow dung at Rs 2 per kilogram from farmers. The finance minister while presenting the budget also announced to set up reading rooms in Ranchi for students from BPL families preparing for competitive examinations like engineering, medical and other competitive examinations.

An additional payment of Rs 50,000 will be made to the beneficiary of PM Awas Yojana. The government will give this amount to the people for the construction of additional room. There is also a plan to open Palash Retail Outlet for the sale of items produced by Sakhi Mandals. The state government will promote eco-tourismwith focus in setting tourist centres at tourist centres.

Guv nod to 2 Bills, Budget Session of Assembly from Feb 27

Governor Ramesh Bais has given his nod to two important Bills passed by the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. The Governor has given his assent to the ‘Jharkhand Contingency Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2022’ passed by the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on Friday. Through this Bill, the amount of withdrawal from the State’s contingency fund has now been increased from Rs 500 crore to Rs 1200 crore.

Bais has also given his assent to the ‘Jharkhand State Agricultural Produce and Marketing Bill, 2022′ and has sent various suggestions in this regard to the State Government. He has said that in the Light of this Bill, a comprehensive discussion with all the stakeholders should be ensured during the formation of the rules. While fixing the rate of market fee, the fee should be fixed keeping in mind the farmers of rural and scheduled tribal communities of the state. Along with this, special attention should be given to the interests of farmers belonging to small and weaker sections and the stakeholders should be included as special invitees in the Agricultural Marketing Council constituted at the state level.

Notably, several trade bodies and members of the business Fraternity in the State had met the Governor on the Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Bill and had requested his intervention on the same. Minister, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department, Badal and Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Secretary Abbu Baqr Siddiqui had met the Governor recently at Raj Bhawan and informed the Governor about the work being done by the department. On the occasion, the provisions contained in the Jharkhand State Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2022 were highlighted by the Minister and Departmental Secretary. The Governor had said that such bills should be made which are in the public interest and do not put additional financial burden on the people.

Tourist places being developed in Simdega to give boost to livelihood

In a bid to boost tourism in the district, Simdega District Administration has given new look to tourist places like Kelaghagh, Dangaddi, Ketungadham located in Simdega, which is not only attracting tourists towards itself, but the livelihood of the local people is also getting empowered.

here are many such tourist places in Simdega, which cannot be ignored. Bhanwar Pahar is one of these which are a symbol of mythological heritage. It is said that Bhanwar Pahar has been instrumental in killing the enemies during the war. The district administration has marked the heritage of it and the hill to be recognized as a tourist spot. In order to see the panoramic view of the mountain and to make the people aware of the specialty of the mountain, the work of beautifying it has been launched on the ground. Soon the work of beautification of the mountain will be completed and handed over to the tourists.

Facilities like solar high mast Light, Police OP, lattice fence along the railing, canteen have been restored at Kelaghagh tourist site adjacent to the district headquarters. Other tourist places like Kelaghagh, Dangaddi, Ketungadham are being developed on a large scale. The facilities which were being missed by the tourists are being restored. Watchtower high mast lights are being set up along with construction of community toilets in Dangdi. Due to the development work being done in Dangdi according to the convenience of the tourists, now every day local villagers are setting up food shops there, from which they are also earning.

Khunti farmers increasing income by herbal cultivation

Earlier, the farmers whose fields were lying vacant, who could not do farming, today their income has increased through herbal farming. About 2500 farmers are associated with cultivation in Khunti district. Salary in the income of these farmers has increased by Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000.

The Khunti district of Jharkhand was once famous across the Country for extremism, but now its identity is slowly changing with time. Due to the efforts of various Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) of Government schemes, there has been an unexpected improvement in the situation.
