Special structural engineering panel formed for residential properties in Haryana

Haryana has formed a special structural engineering committee to deal with the structural issues of residential properties.

This was stated by Chief Secretary at the inaugural function of the two-day Urban Development Conclave in Gurugram today.

He said the was working on a mechanism to assure allottees about the quality of the construction. He said, We are living in the era of regulation in which the NGT, Supreme Court and RERA etc have given many provisions on subjects like Environment and urban development. Gurugram and Faridabad are important cities falling in the NCR of Haryana State, in which the issues of Urbanisation need to be resolved.

He said issues related to urbanisation, ensuring quality of construction, electricity, drinking water supply and transportation were important.

Haryana bags top spot in Citizen Centric Governance Index 2021

Haryana secured the top spot in Governance“>Citizen Centric Governance Sector Ranking 2021 as the state topped the Group A category by securing a collective score of 0.914 in Citizen Centric Governance and 4 indicators. The Citizen Centric Governance indicator focused on outcomes like Right To Service Act, grievance redress mechanism and the progress made by the state governments in providing the Services online.

The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah released the Index-2021 on the occasion of Good Governance Day at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This index has been prepared by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).

According to a statement, Haryana proved its mettle in various IT driven initiatives in the state which are not only bringing positive results but also ensuring the state moves towards good governance with the help of e-governance.

Now, people can avail the benefits of government schemes from the comfort of their homes through one click. In Haryana, a system has been developed under which people do not have to make frequent visits to headquarters or to district offices to get their work done. Now, people can take advantage of all the government schemes at nearest community service centres in their villages or online.

Apart from this, Haryana has been a leader among the Fastest Growing States in the Sustainable Development Goals Index (SDG Index) 2020-21.

Haryana CM launches mobile health screening initiative ‘Wellness on Wheels’

A mobile screening bus Wellness on Wheels was launched by DLF Foundation and Fortis Memorial Research Institute Gurugram to offer free Health screening Services to the underprivileged communities as part of a joint CSR programme.
The bus with health screening facilities was flagged of by chief ministerManohar Lal Khattar.

The screening services will include tests such as blood analysis, urine analysis, HBA1C testing, along with doctor consultation, which can be taken up by any age group. Post the diagnostic reports, if anyone needs further evaluation/treatment, Fortis Hospital Gurugram will help such patients to get the best treatment.

The CM while flagging off the mobile screening acknowledged and appreciated the CSR initiative of DLF Foundation and Fortis Healthcare.

To explore the biodiversity, Haryanas first mushroom survey will be conducted on September 30, in Kalesar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary in Yamunanagar district.

This will also form the basis for observing the impact of habitat disturbance and Climate-change”>Climate Change on the ECOLOGY of the region.

He elaborated that a number of Fungi species (mushrooms) are edible and moreover mushrooms are the only vegetarian source of vitamin D. Also, Wild and the International Union for Conservation of Nature Species Survival Commission became first global organization to call for the recognition of fungi as one of three kingdoms of life critical to protecting and restoring Earth fauna, flora and funga which are critical to all life on Earth and to be integrated into conservation strategies. Thus, the need to conduct such a survey was identified.

Chaudhary Devi Lal varsity signs MoU with 2 Indonesian edu institutions

The Chaudhary Devi Lal University, (CDLU), Sirsa, has signed two memoranda of understanding (MoU) with two Indonesian universities to promote academic and cultural activities between them.

The VC said as part of the academic and cultural activities, joint workshops and an exchange programme would be organised under which CDLU professors and students would go to Indonesia for Education and research. He said Indonesian students and professors would come to the CDLU under this agreement.

Haryana to replace centuries-old ‘Jareeb’ system

Haryanahas decided to do away with the ancient surveying chain, called Jareeb, used for ages to measure land. For centuries,Jareebhas enabled land to be accurately surveyed and plotted, for legal and commercial purposes. This will now be replaced by a modern measurement system.

“A modern technology-based land measurement system will be put in place to replace the age-old chain link (Jareeb) measurement. This will provide greater accuracy and reliability in the measurement of land and reduce the scope for disputes,” Haryana chief ministerManohar Lal Khattarsaid in his Budget speech earlier this week.

Haryana also plans to undertake several reforms for the modernisation of the land records system and replace old Persian or Urdu terminology. According to senior officials of the Haryana revenue department, this terminology is outdated now as it has no significance at the present time and has become problematic for the functioning of the department.

The Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) portion of the Haryana LargeScale Mapping(HaLSM) project has concluded with 25.44 lakh properties mapped. Title deeds and ownership rights have been recognised in favour of the owners of these properties for the first time in HISTORY.

Skill Innovative schools to come up in 10 districts of Haryana

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, while chairing a high-level meeting on Wednesday accorded approval for the opening of innovative skill schools in 10 districts of the State that will be run by Shri Vishwakarma Skill University and will be recognized by CBSE in the category of innovation.

This decision has been taken while following the KG to PG model adopted for skill Education and as per the New Education Policy. In the meeting, the officials of the Skill development Department gave a detailed draft related to the Skill Innovative School and their utility for EMPLOYMENT. This innovative experiment will prove to be a milestone in Haryana’s school education.

In order to promote skill education at the school level in all districts, the Chief Minister directed to implement the model of skill education from KG to PG.

Notably, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University has opened the first innovative skill school and now more such schools will be opened across Haryana. These schools will play a key role in achieving the New Education Policy goals and imparting skill education from KG to PG.

New schemes soon to hike income of poor: Haryana CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said that the will come up with new schemes in the coming days to increase the income of poor families. Along with this, old schemes will also be reviewed.

The goal of the government is to deliver the benefits of the schemes to the last person standing in the line. The second phase of Antyodaya Melas will start across the state from January 7 and in the first phase 156 fairs were organized in which 90,000 out of 1.5 lakh families took part.

He said the loans of many people who came to these Melas have also been approved and the purpose of these melas is to encourage poor families to take up EMPLOYMENT.

The Chief Minister held a meeting with Additional Deputy Commissioners across the state in which Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, V Umashankar and all the Deputy Commissioners were connected virtually.

Three districts of Haryana–Ambala, Rohtak and Faridabad have been declared as front runners in Tap connection coverage (100 percent) under Jal Jeevan Survekshan 2022-23 conducted by Government of India. While Ambala is at first place, Rohtak bagged second place and Faridabad third,Chief Secretary, Sanjeev Kaushal said.

Kaushal chaired a meeting of the Committee of Administrative Secretaries, held here to review projects worth more than Rs. 100 crores. About 54 projects worth more than Rs. 100 crores each of 10 departments including Technical Education, Power, Public Health Engineering, Civil Aviation, Public Works (B&R) and Architecture, Health & Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research, Irrigation-and-water”>Irrigation and water Resources, Cooperation and Home were discussed in the meeting. The total cost of all projects was around Rs. 16,000 crores.

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister JP Dalal on Monday said that modern strategies of horticulture are being provided to the identified villages of State under Village of Excellence programme which will further benefit the farmers of the State.

This step will enhance the trend of adopting new techniques and farmers would be able to increase their income sources as well. So far, 11 centres of excellence have been established within Haryana with the help of national and international agencies, Dalal said during the third day of India- Israel Conference on Centres of Excellence and Villages of Excellence organised at Panchkula.

He said the State Government has decided to setup 64 centres of excellence in villages within the year of 2021 to promote modern strategies in horticulture.

Dalal said besides Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture, Haryana is welcoming all the countries to adopt new techniques used in fish rearing as Haryana has an excellent approach in fish production.
