In a bid to boost the purchase of electric vehicles in the state, Haryana Government has proposed to waive off road tax, registration fee, state toll tax and provide an incentive of upto at least Rs one lakh for new vehicles.

The draft electric vehicle policy chalked out by the to provide the much needed impetus to the electric mobility sector and reduce carbon emissions, is also aimed at generating EMPLOYMENT in Haryana.

The electric vehicle (EV) draft policy has proposed 100 percent exemption of road tax on EVs purchased within Haryana state, applicable over the period of the validity of policy. The state will also exempt SGST on purchase of EVs manufactured within the state under certain conditions.

Apart from this, other proposed incentives include 100 percent interest free loans to the State Government employees for purchase of EVs in the state, exemption from paying state toll tax, 30 percent subsidy on road price of EVs in form of reimbursement directly to the buyer in the state on purchase of EVs and to the financer, if the electric vehicle is hypothecated, the dealers of EVs (non-transport) will be exempted from submitting of bank guarantee of Rs one lakh for Online Dealer Point Registration in the state and the EVs will also be registered on priority basis with a minimum token fee of Rs 100.

Under its ambitious policy, the State Government has proposed to convert 100 percent of bus fleet owned by State Transport Undertakings in Haryana into electric buses (battery electric vehicles or fuel cell EVs) by 2029, with the first phase of 100 percent conversion of bus fleet in Gurugram and Faridabad by 2024. It also proposed phasing out all fossil fuel based commercial fleets and Logistics vehicles in Gurugram and Faridabad by 2024 and all cities by 2030.

ASHA workers to be covered under AB-PMJAY

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today granted formal administrative approval to cover ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).

State Health Minister Anil Vij said the CM had declared at a meeting held on July 27, 2021, that Nambardars, chowkidars, ASHA, anganwari and MGNREGA workers, street vendors, rickshaw-wallahs and auto drivers will also be covered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Vij said the National Health Mission, Haryana, had allocated Rs248.11 lakh to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, to implement this project (Project Implementation Plan 2022-23) to cover ASHA workers in the Ayushman Bharat scheme, for which the proposal had already been sent to the Centre.

Sarpanches protest e-tendering of panchayat works across Haryana

Ashwini Kumar Choubey inaugurates FCI laboratory in Gurugram

The (Fci) under Department of Food & Public Distribution (DFPD) developed its first State-of-art Quality Control Laboratory to conduct in house testing of food grain samples.

Laboratory was set up under the guidance of Central Food Technological Research Institute in Mysuru, Karnataka.

Focusing on bringing various information and technology reforms in its functioning, Haryana Government has now planned to distribute GPS-enabled wrist watches to its employees to keep track of their real-time location during office hours.

An announcement in this regard was made by the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday during Vikas rally held at Sarmathla village of Sohna in Gurugram district.

The objective of giving GPS-enabled wrist watches to the employees include recording attendance of staff, prevention and control of misuse of manual attendance system, maintaining transparency, accountability in operations and weeding out of the fake, duplicate, and false system of marking attendance.

The is chalking out a detailed plan on how the proposed system of smartwatches will be introduced for over 2.5 lakh employees in its departments, boards and corporations.

In a bid to streamline the setting up of ventures like amusement parks, 5-star hotels, resorts in agriculture zones of the State, the BJP-JJP led Haryana Government has come out with a new change of land use (CLU) policy.

The policy, approved by the Governor, has been formulated by the Town and Country Planning Department.

The new policy, which is framed in continuation to the governments guidelines issued last year for granting permission for a CLU to establish projects like drive-in theatres, Sports academies and banquet halls outside municipal limits, will keep a check on haphazard Growth of illegal buildings in Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture zones besides boosting investments.

The policy allows setting up a resort, amusement park or theme park in the agriculture zone in a minimum area of 2.5 acres while there is no limit for maximum area. The floor area ratio allowed is 0.5 and the maximum ground coverage is 30 percent while the commercial component will be 15 percent.

The conversion charges for the area under 15 percent commercial component of the amusement park will be charged at commercial rates and for the balance area, conversion charges applicable for recreational use shall be charged. For setting up a 5-star hotel, the policy allows a minimum area of 4 acres while maximum area will be 10 acres. The floor area ratio allowed is 0.75, the maximum ground coverage is 30 percent while the commercial component will be 15 percent.

o facilitate transportation of farm produce to the mandis, Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday approved Rs 1122 crore for repair of 8198 km link roads and directed the Mandi Board to complete the project by March 31, 2022.

The Chief Minister ordered the allocation as part of the Link Road Repair Programme 2021-22 (Phase-IV), aimed at strengthening rural in the state.

It may be recalled that the Capt Amarinder Singh-led Government had, immediately after assuming office in March 2017, given approval to the Mandi Board for undertaking repair of the link roads in 12,581 villages across the State, to provide easy access to the farmers for selling their crops in 1872 mandis. As per the state policy, link roads become due for repair after every six years.

Giving details of the link roads or culverts and bridges constructed since April 2017, the Mandi Board secretary Ravi Bhagat said that of total length of link roads of 64,878 km in the State, repair or upgradation of 34,977 Km link roads had been successfully completed in three phases, at a cost of Rs 4,112 crore.

In addition, 1,507 culverts or bridges are being upgraded at a cost of Rs 389 crore. Of these, the upgradation work has been implanted on 966 culverts or bridges.

At Rs 200 crore, growth budget cut to half

The Department of Economic and Statistical Affairs (DESA) releases the funds under the DDP scheme every year which is distributed among all districts as per the set criteria of the government.

According to information, the state government had released a budget of Rs 400 crore during the financial year 2022-23. The DESA stated that Rs 120 crore has been earmarked for the General Component, while Rs 80 crore is meant for the Scheduled Castes Sub Plan component.

The department stated that the parking of funds in the banks had been prohibited and the funds would be released to all districts online. It should be ensured that all approved works are completed within this financial year whether they belong to the current financial year or to the previous financial year. The state government would not reallocate any fund which would remain unutilised on March 31, 2024, it stated.
