Haryana allots 140 acre Manesar land to e-tailer for logistics point

In view of increasing demand for from E-Commerce companies,HaryanaEnterprise Promotion Board (HEPB) on Tuesday approved allotment of 140 acres of land of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) to theFlipkart Groupfor setting up their largest fulfilling centre in Asia.
The centre will have a covered area of 3 million square feet in Patli Hajipur, Manesar.

The company is planning to build a Logistics campus in the national capital region, in proximity to Gurgaon. They intend to build a campus spread over an area of 140 acres to cater to demand in north India. This fulfillment centre will essentially cater to parcel and white goods and furniture, he added. He claimed that approximately 6,000 direct and 12,000 indirect jobs will be created through this Investment.

Canada will cooperate with Haryana in field of food and energy security

The Canadian province of Saskatchewan has offered to enhance cooperation with Haryana in the field of food and Energy Security. Under this, a six-member Canadian delegation led by Premier Scott Moe met Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and discussed issues of mutual cooperation in various fields.

The delegation also included former Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister apprised the delegation of the geographical conditions of Haryana. He expressed hope that the visit of the delegation to Haryana would be a good experience. Haryana is an agrarian state and ranks first in India in per capita income and GST collection. More than 400 Fortune companies of the world are doing business in Gurugram. Haryana ranks second in India after Bengaluru in IT and Software, he said.

Khattar also shared the experience of his visit to Canada in 2016 with the delegation and said that skilled and unskilled manpower is available in Haryana and cooperation can also be increased in logistic .

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the Amrit budget prepared while keeping in mind every section of the Society. Haryana leads in Sustainable Development Goals Index

During the Economic Survey 2021-22 tabled in Parliament by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Haryana is continuously working towards achieving the social, economic and environmental goals under the Goals (SDG) Index.

As a result of this, Haryana is included in the leading states of the country in the NITI Aayog SDG India Index 2020-21. Haryana is at the top position in 2020-21 in terms of score improvement from 2019 with an increase of 10 points.

The SDG Index development priorities have been set for each state, under which they are given 17 targets to achieve the desired goals. All parameters set to achieve the SDG Goals-2030 are being implemented in the state in a phased manner.

According to the Economic Survey report, in the financial year 2021-22, Haryana has achieved the status of 100 per cent households with tap water supply under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). Now, the next target of the government is to provide 55 litre clean drinking water per person in the entire state by December 2022.

CM: Mapping being done in Haryana to develop sports infra

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday said the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs has been directed to conduct mapping as per the specialization of sports in each district so that necessary sports could be upgraded accordingly in the state.

Consistent efforts are being made by the State Government to further strengthen sports infrastructure in Haryana, Khattar said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a Badminton Tournament-2022 at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Panchkula.

On the demand of Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta regarding setting up of a Junior Academy of National level, a Shooting Range and an all-weather Swimming Pool in the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula, the Chief Minister assured that he would speak to the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur in this regard.

The Chief Minister said that Haryana is fast emerging as a sports hub. Our sports persons have brought laurels to the state and the country several times by winning medals at various national and international events including Olympics and Paralympics.

He said that it is also the result of robust sports infrastructure in the state that Haryana has got the opportunity of hosting Khelo India Youth Games in February 2022 in which about 12,000 players from all over the country would participate in different sports disciplines.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that a cell of progressive farmers should be constituted in the state and they should be honoured as well.

The progressive farmers would act as trainers and would give training to 5 farmers every year. They will be given a separate amount for this.

The government is ready to protect the interests of the farmers. In view of the monsoon season, the Central Government had decided to start the procurement of paddy from October 11, however, considering the farmers demand the has started the paddy procurement with immediate effect, he said.

Khattar said that the government during its seven-year tenure has always taken decisions in the interest of farmers and implemented ambitious schemes. When Meri Fasal, Mera Byora Scheme was implemented, there was resistance to it as well. But today farmers are willingly joining this scheme and taking advantage of it.

The government has constituted 600 FPOs to double the farmers income and 78,000 farmers have joined it. There are plans to create 1500 more such FPOs in the future which will benefit lakhs of farmers, he said.

The Chief Minister said that by joining FPO, farmers can start cold storage, mushroom production, bee keeping etc. business on their land. Besides this, some farmers can also run their own small mandi together.

Need model code for pollution control

Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) chairman PRaghavendra Rao urged theNational Real Estate Development Council(NAREDCO) to come up with a model code for fixing the criteria for pollution control, so that feasible industrial activities were not banned by the government.

Addressing NAREDCO Haryana Real Estate Summit 2022 and Buyer-Seller Interface in Gurgaon, Rao added that the suggested model code should be validated by institutions relating to research so that their validity is not questioned.

The details of the model code for pollution control should also be supported and validated by data so that parameters recommended in the Code Of Conduct are considered without any hitch, pointed out Mr Rao. He advised NAREDCO to ask constituents to adopt best pratices.

The 1986-batch IAS officer Sanjeev Kaushal was elevated by the Haryana Government as States Chief Secretary on Tuesday, becoming the third person from his family to assume the charge of top post.

PK Das, who was also in the race for the top post, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Haryana and Financial Commissioner, Revenue & Disaster Management and Consolidation Departments.

Kaushal, who had been the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister when the BJP formed the government under Manohar Lal Khattar in 2014, has sufficient service left with his retirement due on July 31, 2024.

Haryana notifies amended policy for MBBS students

Finally, giving into the demands of the students ofMBBS(bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery) courses, the department of medical Education and research (Dmer)Haryana notified the amended MBBS Policy of the state.
Now, as announced by chief ministerManohar Lal Khattar, the policy provides for signing of for the students doing MBBS courses in the Haryana government run medical colleges in the state. According to the college, the students who will be joining the Health department after completion of MBBS degree for seven years need not pay any bond Money.

At present, Haryana has an intake of 1,735 students in 13 medical colleges of the state every year. The intake is likely to go up to 3,000, as the government targets to open a medical college in all districts.

Government spends around Rs 500 crore per annum on education of MBBS students of the state. The government is increasing seats each year and some students prefer to join corporates, hence the bond system
