Haryana again secures first place in CCTNS with 100% score

Haryanahome ministerAnil Vijsaid that the state has once again created HISTORY and has secured first position 2nd time in the country in Crime andCriminal Tracking Network and System(CCTNS) with 100% score.

It is for the 2nd time thatHaryana Policehas secured the first position in the country with 100% score under this system, while Himachal Pradesh secured the second position with 99.6% score and Karnataka got the third position with 99.3% score. Gujarat remained at 4th place with 99% score.

Haryana Government is all set to launch a unique volunteer programme ‘Samarpan’.

The implementation of this programme will inculcate a sense of working dedicatedly towards Society and with this initiative, people will be encouraged to come forward to serve the society selflessly, the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said while presiding over a meeting here.

The Chief Minister said that the Samarpan programme is a big initiative of the as the programme aims towards building a better society and volunteers involved in this programme will also play an important role in curbing crime through counselling programmes.

It was informed that registration of volunteers will be done under the Samarpan programme. During registration, the volunteers will enter their details as well as the area they are willing to work in. They will also enter this information at the time of applying and also the number of hours the volunteers will be able to work for the ‘Samarpan’ programme per week.

It was informed that the Services of volunteers would be taken in the fields of Education, Sports, Skill development, Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture, Environment, Social Audit, participation in government schemes, general administration and Health etc. Later, the number of areas will be increased as per the requirement.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the Union Ministry of Environment has given exemption in getting environment clearance to industrial units running in as many as eight district areas of the state coming under National Capital Region, where there is no access to pipe supply of CNG, PNG, and LPG.

CNG, PNG, and LPG pipeline supply has not yet reached eight district areas of Haryana coming under NCR, and with this decision of giving exemption to industrial units, now these units too will be able to get CNG, PNG, and LPG supply in a hassle-free manner. The pipeline works of the industries units located in these eight districts are already in progress, he said. Khattar further said that environmental clearance would also be given to 15 long-established formaldehyde industrial units in Yamunanagar district so that those industrial units could uninterruptedly run their operations.

4,360 acres in Haryana municipal areas illegally occupied, HC told

Taking note of the status report showing that 4,360 acres of land is under unauthorized encroachment inHaryanamunicipal areas, the Punjab and Haryana has ordered that a copy of the report be sent to the Haryana chief secretary for appropriate action and for proceeding appropriately against those officials/employees who have committed lapses.

In Sohna area of Gurgaon, 1896.55 acres is under encroachment, while the figure in Kalka under Panchkula MC limits is 486 acres. There is illegal encroachment over 145.75 acres in Jhajjar’s Beri, 243.48 acres at Pehowa, 622.5 acres at Shahabad and 149.9 acres at Thanesar, district of Kurukshetra. It is also seen that nearly 230 acres of land is under encroachment inBhiwani’s Bawani Khera and the cases for clearing it are allegedly pending since 2016. There is encroachment over 24.62 acres of land inAmbalaCity and 90.6 acres of land in Ambala Sadar.
While more than 115 acres of land in Ambala is illegally occupied, no officer has been transferred to the post tasked with clearing squatters.

Haryana first to finish works under Central scheme “Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana”

Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said Haryana was the first state in the country to complete all works allocated under Phase-1 and Phase-2 of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.

Dushyant gave this information after presiding over a meeting of the sixth executive committee of the Haryana Rural Roads and Development Agency.

He said Haryana had completed 426 roads under Phase-1 and 88 roads under Phase-2 and construction of 18 bridges under the scheme

Haryana Govt to set up six veterinary polyclinics in State

aryana government would soon set up six veterinary polyclinics in the State. Announcing this while addressing a gathering on the concluding ceremony of 39th State Exhibition-2023 in Charkhi Dadri on Monday, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the polyclinics would be set up in the state so that the cattle in the gaushalas are cared and protected. A polyclinic will also be set up at Charkhi Dadri, he added.

In our culture cows hold religious significance. Cow has been given the status of the mother in religious texts, thus from increasing the budget of Haryana Gau Seva Aayog from Rs 40 crore to Rs 400 crore in 2023-24, dedicated efforts are being made by the present State Government for the protection of cattle, he said.

Earlier, the Chief Minister also visited the Livestock Exhibition. Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Animal Husbandry Minister JP Dalal and BJP state president Om Prakash Dhankhar were present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister informed that under Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, loans have been provided to such families who have shown interest in adopting animal husbandry. He said that under this scheme, this year, the Government aims to increase the income of about two lakh Antyodaya families.

A separate budgetary allocation of Rs 2000 crore has been kept reserved for these families if they wish to do any work related to animal husbandry or any other sector or field, said Khattar.

In 10 years, wetland area up by 13% in Haryana

Haryanawitnessed a 13.2% increase in wetlands in a decade due to artificial ponds, tanks and water-logged areas, but the state continues to lose its natural wetlands, according to theNational Wetland Decadal Change Atlas. Marking World Wetlands Day, theSpace Applications Centrereleased the atlas in February.

Wetlands are areas that are covered by water, permanently or temporarily. The report revealed that the total wetland area in Haryana was 29,710 hectares in 2006-07 and 33,649 hectares in 2017-18, showing a jump of 3,939 hectares. However, the natural wetlands along river streams witnessed a decline of 2,028 hectares from 2006-07 to 2017-18.

The state has 3.3% of the cultivable area in the country, contributing 5.6% of the total food grain production. A total of 1,441 wetlands have been mapped in Haryana. In addition, 10,529 waterlogged areas have also been identified.

Presidents Colour honour to the Haryana Police

The President Color is the highest award presented to military units, federal forces, and state Police forces. The award has an emblem. The award is presented by the President of India, the Supreme Commander of the Indian military. However, when the president is absent or unavailable, then the award shall be presented by the Home minister or the Prime Minister or Vice President. President Murmu is now on an official tour to the southern states of the country. Therefore, Home Minister Shri Amit Shah presented the Presidents Colour honour. It was presented to the Haryana Police.

The award was presented to the Haryana Police for their bravery, dedication and courage in the last 25 years. Owing to its proximity to the National capital, the state police force is also patient in handling different issues. The Haryana police force has won the peoples confidence all these years.

The Haryana State police have been adopting several latest technologies under the Police Technology Mission. The mission was launched by PM Modi to make technology available for police forces all over the country. Some of them are ICJS and CCTN. ICJS is Inter Operable Criminal System. CCTN is Crime and Criminal Tracking Network.

Haryana better placed than Punjab, HP in e-waste management

Haryana is much better placed than many other states when it comes to managing electronic or E-Waste. With a recycling capacity of 1.24 lakh tonnes per annum, the state stands at fourth position in terms of installed capacity.

The states which are ahead of Haryana in terms of e-waste handling or installed capacity are Uttar Pradesh (4.94 lakh tonne per annum), Uttarakhand (1.47 lakh tonne) and Nadu (1.32 lakh tonne).

Across the country, there are 468 authorised dismantlers and recyclers in 22 states with a processing capacity of 13.86 lakh MT per annum, Minister of State for Environment, Forests and Climate-change”>Climate Change Ashwini Kumar Choubey informed the Lok Sabha recently.

According to data shared by him, India generated 10,14,961.2 tonnes of e-waste last year, a massive 31.6% increase from the previous year. Further, only 22% of the e-waste generated in India got recycled. In 2017-18, India generated 7,08,445 tonnes of e-waste and 7,71,215 tonnes in 2018-19 an increase of 8.86%. The e-Waste (Management) Rules were notified in 2016 which got amended from time to time. So far, the Environment Ministry has notified 21 types of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) as e-waste.

In 2016, the E-Waste (Management) Rules placed responsibility on electronics goods manufacturing companies and bulk consumers to collect and channel e-waste from consumers to authorised re-processing units.
