President Inaugurates Adarsh Village Sui Haryana

The Adarsh Village ‘Sui’ in Haryana is inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind.

The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, paid a visit to Sui village in Haryana’s Bhiwani district to launch a number of public projects.

Mahadevi Parameshwaridas Jindal Charitable Trust is developing this hamlet into an Adarsh Gram (Model village) under the Haryana Government’s Swa-Prerit Adarsh Gram Yojana (SPAGY) initiative.

At Sui village, President Ram Nath Kovind and his wife Savita Kovind planted a peepal tree.

The Jindal trust has invested approximately Rs 25 crore in the transformation of Sui into an ADARSH VILLAGE.

Haryana to develop Morni from a tourism perspective

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar,, said that Morni is a hilly area bordering Himachal Pradesh and has immense potential for tourism. Morni is being developed from a tourism perspective. All necessary facilities are being provided by the to the tourists coming here so that the footfall of tourists in this area increases.

The Parivar Pehchan Patra has been started by the State Government, through which Health, Education, old age pension and other facilities have been directly linked so that all facilities can be made easily available. He said that due to the creation of Parivar Pehchan Patra, now the person eligible for old age allowance will not have to run from pillar to post to avail the benefits of the scheme. He said that a person after attaining the age of 60 with an annual income of less than Rs 2 lakh automatically gets eligible for the Old Age Samman Allowance without any hassle.

Haryana decides to ban use of word Gorakh Dhanda’

Haryana Government on Wednesday decided to ban the use of the term Gorakh Dhanda generally used to describe unethical practices.

A decision to this regard was taken by the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar after a delegation of the community met him here. The Gorakhnath community urged him to ban the use of the term Gorakh Dhanda and said that it hurts the sentiments of the followers of Saint Gorakhnath.

The CM said that as Guru Gorakhnath was a saint and using this word in any Official Language, speech or in any context hurts the sentiments of his followers, therefore the use of this word in any context has been completely banned now.

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Monday said that about 27 lakh families in the state are being given food grains free of cost under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.

The has emerged as a well wisher of the underprivileged during the Coronavirus period. Lakhs of underprivileged families of the state could neither work as a daily-wager nor take up small jobs during this period. In such circumstances, the State Government provided 5-kg wheat per member door-to-door through Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), Dushyant said,

Divulging figures for the month of July, he said that about 60,391 metric tonnes of wheat is being distributed to 27,04,846 ration card holders of the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, said that due to the ongoing Corona infection, a country-wide lockdown had been imposed on March 26, 2020. To ensure that the people from the economically weaker sections of the Society like road dwellers, rag pickers, hawkers, rickshaw pullers, migrant labourers etc. do not face scarcity of food and in view of the pro-poor approach of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was started from April 2020.

Under this scheme, 5-kg wheat per member was provided free of cost to AAY (Pink Card), BPL (Yellow Card) and OPH (Khaki Card) holders, he added.

Soon, a portal for self-help groups to sell products

Chief ministerManohar Lal Khattarannounced on Sunday that the government will set up an online portal to sell products manufactured by Women from self-help groups.

The government will be branding the products made by these women and selling them online after issuing them quality certificates.

Khattar made the announcement during a video conferencing with the beneficiaries of the self-help group programme in the state on Sunday. In 2014, the state had about 812 self-help groups. Now, the number has increased to more than 57,000 working SHGs.

The CM announced that 25 per cent of the shops allotted by lottery or any other way at the bus stand would be reserved for self-help groups. If the shops are allotted through auction, the self-help group will get a 10 per cent DISCOUNT on the auction amount.

Haryanapolice continues to maintain its first rank in thePragati Dashboard, a monthly assessment conducted by the ministry of Home affairs (MHA) and the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) for all states and Union Territories. In a recent development, the Police department has introduced a new feature where First Information Report (FIR) status updates are sent to complainants via SMS in Hindi. The messages also include a link to download the FIR.

This information was given during a meeting of the State Apex Committee for the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), chaired by chief secretarySanjeev Kaushal. TheCCTNSHaryana project aims to enhance citizen-friendliness, promote transparency in police operations, and improve the delivery of citizen-centric Services through the effective use of information and Communication technology.

Haryana to sell rented/leased govt properties under possession of individual from last 20 years

The Haryana government has notified the Haryana Disposal of Rented Government Properties Policy 2023 for the government departments, boards, corporations and authorities for selling its properties under possession of individual or private entity by way of rent or lease from last 20 years or more, said Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Thursday.

He said the policy would be applicable only to “property parcels” up to 100 sq yards per beneficiary per land parcel for all such properties which had been leased or rented before June 1, 2001.

Kaushal said the government had notified a policy on June 1, 2021, for sale of shops and houses by municipal bodies where possession of such property is with the entities other than municipal bodies or its predecessor bodies for a period of 20 years or more.

Haryana: DRDO to set up 500-bed Covid-19 hospitals in Hisar and Panipat

The DEFENCE Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will establish two hospitals of 500 beds each in Hisar and Panipat districts of Haryaa to cater to the need of Covid-19 patients.

Health minister Anil Vij said that defense minister Rajnath Singh has already directed the DRDO to execute the project at the earliest.

Meanwhile, Vij also claimed to have tightened noose around black Marketing of Remedisaver drug.

He said that there are only two depots of this drug which are under direct monitoring of the food and drug administration officials.
