36K acres of Aravallis in 3 districts declared protected forest area

The has declared 36,400 acres of the Aravalli area in Rewari, Gurugram and Nuh districts as protected forest to increase greenery and check non-Forestry activities there.

Sources said around 24,600 acres of the area was located in Nuh, 8,852 acres in Rewari and 2,950 acres in Gurugram district. Earlier, the land was under the gram panchayats concerned and the Forest and Wild Life Department was unable to take direct action against the persons concerned indulging in illegal activities in the area.

As per rules mentioned in the gazette notification of the protected area, no person shall set fire to grass, trees or timber or kindle a fire on such land and cut and remove grass without obtaining a licence from the DFO or his authorised representative.

Hry procurement reaches 50.3LMT

The Haryana government had procured 50.32 lakh metric tonne (LMT) wheat by Monday through various procurement agencies at the minimum support price (MSP).

An official said a total of 59.66 LMT wheat had arrived at 396 mandi/ procurement centres of the state.

As many as 6,82,862 J- forms of 1,88,891 farmers had been issued. Till Monday, Rs 2,336 crore had been transferred directly into the accounts of farmers whose crops had been procured.

Karnal ready to adopt RFID tag scanning for waste collection

To ensure regular door-to-door waste collection from all households, the (MC), Karnal, is ready to install QR code-embedded radio-frequency identification (RFID) on the wall of every household and at the entry and exit point of every street of colonies and sectors to monitor garbage collection regularly.

As soon as the garbage collection vehicle will enter a street, the RFID tag installed at the entry point will automatically record it, which would also be reflected in the control room.

Boost to health infrastructure: Two 50-bed govt hospitals soon in new sectors in Gurgaon

The Health department plans to set up two hospitals to improve healthcare Services in new sectors and ease patient load on district-level facilities. The hospitals, each with 50 beds, will be built onHSVPland between sectors 39 and 55.
Health officials said the facilities will be constructed by HSVP and will function under the supervision of community health centres in the area. The plots will be identified and construction will start soon, they said.
The hospitals will provide subsidised primary care, which includes primary medical treatment, preventive healthcare and health Education. In these hospitals, patients will be able to meet doctors and get pathological tests and minor procedures done.

The objective is to fill critical gaps in health , surveillance, and health research in both urban and rural areas, so communities are equipped in managing pandemics or other public health crises

Adi Badri Dam

The governments of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh signed an agreement to build a dam at Adi Badri in Yamunanagar district.

The Dam will rejuvenate the mythical Saraswati River.

It is situated in Haryana near Himachal Pradesh border.

The place is considered as rivers origin point.

With the rejuvenation of Saraswati River, religious beliefs will also be revived.

The area will also be developed as a pilgrimage site.

The Dam will be built on 31.66 hectares of land in Himachal Pradesh. It has a width of 101.06 metres and height 20.5 metres.

Haryana has been ranked second in Swachh Survekshan Survey-2021 by Government of India under the category of less than 100 Urban Local Bodies. It stood second with a score of 1,745 while the state of Jharkhand has been ranked first.

Besides this, under the new category, Prerak DAUUR Samman (which will categorize cities on the basis of six select indicators) Gurugram, Rohtak and Karnal were recognized under Anupam (Gold) Category, Panchkula, Faridabad and Nilokheri have been recognized under Ujjwal (Silver) Category and Ambala has been recognized under Aarohi (Aspiring) Category.

Haryana to table law against cheating in job exams

Notorious for regular leaks and innovative cheating in competitive examinations conducted by the state and central governments, Haryana has finally decided to introduce a new law to prevent such leaks in the future.

The proposed law, Haryana Public Examination (Prevention Of Unfair Means), 2021, will be introduced in the Haryana assemblys monsoon session that is commencing on Friday. The BJP-JJP aims to prevent embarrassing leaks of question papers and the use of unfair means in public examinations with this bill.

Haryana is proposing to introduce this law even as states such as Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh already have a law in place.

70 Rohtak villages record gender ratio of less than 800

The district has recorded sex ratio at birth (SRB) of less than 800 in 70 villages in the first quarter (from January 1 to March 31) of the year. The number of villages is over 65 per cent higher than the previous year as many as 800 females were born against 1,000 males in 42 villages of the district in 2022.

Rohtak is among the districts in the state where a considerable decline in the SRB has been witnessed in the first quarter as compared to the previous year. The district registered a drop of 36 points, with the SRB of 898, and stood at 18th place. Its SRB was 934 in 2022.

Hry Govt notifies merger of departments

To improve the administrative efficiency, Haryana Government on Monday notified the merger and reorganization of some departments.

The Department of Archeology and Museums has been merged with the Department of Tourism and the name of the department has been changed to Heritage and Tourism Department. The Departments of Higher Education, Technical Education and the Department of Science and Technology have been merged and the new department has been named Higher Education Department.

Similarly, the Department of Art and Cultural Affairs has been merged with the Department of Information, Public Relations, and Languages and its name has been changed to Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department. The name of the Labour and EMPLOYMENT Department has now been changed to Labour Department.

Centre and Hry Govt. exploring better medical practices for cancer treatment: Dattatraya

Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya said that the Central and have been exploring better medical practices for the treatment of cancer.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), 90 cancer treatment hospitals with modern medical care have been set up across the country.

Besides this, a cancer treatment hospital has also been set up in Jhajjar district of the state, the Governor said while addressing the annual conference of Innovation in Oncology of the Society“>Indian Society of Oncology at Sarvodaya Hospital, Faridabad.

Dattatraya said that apart from Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana in the country, better medical facilities are also being provided to the people under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). Haryana Government is also excelling in the field of medicine and Education, he said.
