After gurdwaras, the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) ad hoc has decided to take over the educational institutions, which the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee was managing in the state.

As per HSGMC leaders, there are three schools, two colleges, and a vocational training academy that are being managed by the SGPC. Besides these, the Miri Piri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Shahabad is managed by a trust.

As the Miri Piri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Shahabad is not being run by the SGPC directly but by a trust, controlled by the Badal family, and to take over the institute.

Haryanaeducation department is considering a proposal to shut down all government high schools in the state and merge them with the government-run senior secondary schools. After this, Haryana will only have senior secondary, middle and primary schools. As of now, there are 1,032 government high schools in the state.

Sources added that the Haryana government may merge all primary schools into middle schools as its next step, creating a two-tier school system in the state.
If implemented, this would be the second major step taken by the Haryana government to bring changes in the states school Education department. In August last year, the BJP-JJP government merged a large number of middle and high schools with less than 20 students and 25 students, respectively, with the nearby available schools.

During the parliamentarybudgetsession, the Union Government informed the Rajya Sabha that around 292 government schools in Haryana were either closed or merged in 2022 because of poor numbers of students. The data was shared in response to a question asked byLt Gen D P Vats(Retd), a member of the Rajya Sabha from Haryana. Satpal Sindhu, president, Haryana School Lecturer Association (HSLA), said this would be a good move, especially in the distribution of work among the school lecturers as many of them are currently deployed in high schools TEACHING lower classes, whereas their job profile is to teach classes IX to XII.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said the Health Services would be prioritised in the upcoming Budget session so that every citizen can avail the benefits of health services.

The CM was interacting with officers of the Health and Family Welfare Department, the Medical Education Department, the AYUSH Department and officers of National Health Mission(NHM) and the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

The CM said a provision would be made to make additions in the Budget after considering the suggestions received through government/private doctors and other representatives related to health.

The Chief Minister said that in order to provide accessible health services to the citizens in Civil Hospitals, those suggestions would be given precedence which will revolve around strengthening the health services at Civil Hospitals.

In a big relief for Jumla Malkan, Mustraka Malkan, Shamlat Deh, Jumla Mustraka Malkan and Abadkar, Pattedar, Dholidar, Butmidar Mukrirdar and Kashtkar, the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that the has decided to introduce a new law to give ownership rights to them.

Chairing a meeting with the delegation of Bhartiya Kisan Union, the Chief Minister said that a special Committee being monitored by him has been constituted to study the old laws and prepare new ones. Deputy Chief Minister, Development and Panchayat Minister, Urban Local Bodies Minister and Advocate General have also been included in this Committee.

The Chief Minister said a new scheme is being formulated for groundwater recharging, adding that as the availability of water is continuously decreasing in the state, it is the responsibility of the government to ensure the optimum use of water. Borewells are also being set up by the government for groundwater recharging, he added.

Accepting the suggestion given by the Union, the Chief Minister said that soon a new scheme will be brought, under which farmers will be able to set up borewells in their fields for groundwater recharging and the state government will make provision for giving subsidies on this. For this, the blueprint will be prepared soon, he added.

Khattar said that in areas where the groundwater level has gone down considerably, farmers should adopt Irrigation“>Micro Irrigation. The state government is providing subsidies up to 85 percent to the farmers for micro irrigation. Not only this, the Resources“>Water Resources Authority is assessing the water level of every village. Piezometers are being installed for this. Now the groundwater level will be ascertained not block-wise but village-wise.

Haryana Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, JP Dalal on Tuesday came under the severe criticism of opposition after his claims that there is no shortage of Fertilizers in the State.

Dalal, while replying to the on the issue of shortage of DAP/Urea in the state said that adequate stock of various fertilisers is available in the state.

The Agriculture Minister informed the House that till now about 6.93 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of urea, 2.82 lakh metric tonnes of DAP, more than 1 lakh tonnes of SSP, more than 41,000 NPK is available, out of which 6.24 lakh metric tonnes of urea, 2.60 lakh metric tonnes of DAP, 79,000 metric tonnes of SSP, 38,661 metric tonnes of NPK have been provided to the farmers in the State.

At the second convocation ceremony of Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, the Chancellor of the University and Governor, Haryana, Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar presented degrees to the students of various courses related to health sciences.

Khattar said that a joint course of bio engineering and medical engineering will be started soon in the state. He said that the kidney transplant will start soon in Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences. He said it is being ensured that every district must have a medical college and at present, 13 medical colleges are functioning in the state and 11 medical colleges are either under construction or have been announced. He said that after the year 2014, medical seats have been increased significantly in the state and in the next five years, the number of these seats will be increased to 3,000.

He said that as per the norms of World Health Organization, there is a requirement of one doctor per 1000 Population. Thus, at present there is a need of 28 thousand doctors in the state, while there are about 7 thousand government doctors in the state. About 50 percent of doctors, including government and private doctors, are providing Services to the people in the state. The is making continuous efforts to meet the shortage of doctors.
